Ben Arfa’s loan move to Hull City was completed almost two hours after the transfer window closed at 11:00 pm on Monday night, 1st September, and it was like pouring gasoline (petrol) on a fire, as the Newcastle fans erupted and turned against manager Alan Pardew, who seemed to push the Frenchman out of the door.

Newcastle Interested In The New Claude Makelele

Thursday, September 11th, 2014 · 160 Comments

The Chronicle (Mark Douglas) is reporting today that Newcastle are scouting for a replacement for Cheick Tiote – so if that is accurate it tells us that Tiote has let it be known he’s the next player who wants to leave Newcastle, and we suppose that could even happen in January.

Fans Not Confident Of Taking Anything From St. Mary’s

Thursday, September 11th, 2014 · 11 Comments

We have lost both our games at St. Mary’s in the last two seasons, and haven’t even managed to score a single goal – we were beaten 4-0  last term and 2-0 the season before that, after Southampton had successfully fought their way back into the Premier League – which is where they belong.

A huge 77% of Newcastle fans think we will lose this game, and that would not be good for Newcastle and it wouldn’t be too good for manager Alan Pardew either.

Pardew has to start picking up some points soon, otherwise his job will be on the line, after the last two seasons have not been good.

There’s still time to vote for those who haven’t yet voted – one vote per reader.

What’s Newcastle’s Best Team For Southampton Game?

Thursday, September 11th, 2014 · 12 Comments

Siem de Jong is injured and out for a several months with a thigh injury, so he will not play on Saturday at Southampton, but it looks like other players seem to be  generally fit with Jack Colback being given a decent chance to play in the game,  and Cheick Tiote having played two full games for the Ivory Coast over the International break.
