It’s not an overstatement to say this is one of the biggest let downs at Newcastle United ever, and certainly the worst string of games in the club’s premiership history.
Players should dedicate a win to our long-suffering fans
We had a decent squad last season, and we strengthened that with 9 new players in the summer. Yet to be where we are in the league, with just 8 games to go is unbelievable – if it wasn’t actually happening.
Three months since a league win, so the fans haven’t been able to celebrate at all, apart from the 4-1 hammering of Stoke City, which happened on the night of Keegan’s appointment, and all seemed so promising even then.
But the stage is set for us with probably the best opportunity for a while, to break our win duck this year in the league. And of the home games we have left surely Fulham is the easiest, with just Reading, Sunderland and Chelsea also left this season.
A good plan for Keegan to get the best out of his players is to let them know that the 50,000 crowd each home game is more than they deserve, given their poor performances all season. And he should tell the lads to go our and prove they are worth the support of the fans, and should be retained at the club for next season.
Thats should do it.

Comment #3Fulham’s only threat is McBride, who will outmuscle and outjump any of our CB’s for headers.
Next week we have Spurs away, not an easy game as last night proved.

Comment #5spurs are brilliant one day, miserable the next…hopefully they are miserable eh? our recent record against spurs is good so we should go into the game with confidence. I wouldnt say Fulhams only threat is Mcbride. Hangelaand and Johnson both add to their threat in the air. Also, Bullards set peices are going to be a danger, and Dempsey annoying nimbleness is going to be irritating if he plays.

Comment #7So that self-appointed club mouthpiece Taylor has been spouting again. We are always behind the team trying to raise their game. He has got a nerve with his comments. No Taylor – you raise your game and stop your silly mistakes and silly grins. Without NUFC you would be back in Greenwich and playing for Charlton!

Comment #8Does anybody else have the same concern as mine at the moment :
That this relegation battle will make KK put faith in players next season that he should be selling in the summer. Because they keep us up, he’ll think they deserve to stay on. Butt, Smith, Geremi, Viduka, Barton etc.
We all know KK is an emotional man and I’m concerned he will stick with this lot rather than offload them.

Comment #10Ramage wont leave he will feel he is betraying us by getting fit and leaving when in fact 2m is a compliment.Carr and smith should be sold to sunderland for 7m(hoping).We have cover in the reserves i.e edgar, kadar, tozer, carroll. Then we need to go out and buy top class cb,lb, 4 top midfielders sell barton, zog(if he wants to leave),geremi and sell ameobi(long time coming) and buy a tall powerful striker e.g. gomis.

Comment #12I also like the look of that macedonian international playing for ipswich, could be the player we are looking for, kind of a steven gerrard type player and this could help us in buying pandev another good player.

Comment #13I just think a total clear out is in order after this season.
Very few of the players give two hoots about newcastle and the position in the premiership is proof of this.
I think managers take far too much stick for the team performances and I take back all the abuse I hurled at Big Sam during his time at Newcastle..to me the players are shocking and deserve to be sold on.

Comment #15i think we will win against fulham i would play the same team but i would maybe put nzogbia in for one of the midfileders not sure who but he would just give us a bit more pace and skill and slight bit of creativity to the midfiled especially as we are at home but saying that i dont no who i would take out as i thought butt and geremi had great games and i think barton is our best midfileder even though he didnt have the best of games on monday but what i would definatley stick with is oba owen and viduka up front them 3 playing together just gets me so exiuted thinking about it i have been waiting for it all season

Comment #17also if we stay up and get some of the players we have been linked with this summer i think there are exiting times ahead however we dont need anymore 3m players we need top qaulity or we shouldnt bother .players like
cueller
van buyten
sidwell
riise
mcgeady
arshevin
pandev
gomis
just the thought of getting half of them signings gets me unbelievable exited they all have more qaulity then 75% of the players we have
players i would look to get rid off are.
ramage
cacapa
smith
ameobi
carr
edgar loan
lua lua loan
getting rid of viduka would really depends on his fitness and the progress of young andrew carrol in my opinion if he can keep fit and get fitter then i wouldntdefinatley keep him as he is one of the best in the prem however if carrol makes the step up i think we should give him the chance as he scores silly amounts of goals for the reserves

Comment #20Scott9 and Hadj if you want a deep lying playmaker then you should be looking at lucas biglia of anderlecht, he is class. If we could get Biglia and this Ipswich guy then it would sort out our CM area out completely

Comment #22As always Spyro,I’m with you on this one.Scott,Bursa needed money so they sold him for that ridicilous fee.If we get Pandev(he scored last night against Roma) in the Summer you can bet that we’ll have Shumi next January.

Comment #25Matty thats way long ago and its only 1 lucky goal. You can watch videos of Henry while in Arsenal, but compare those videos with his current form in Barca you’ll say that this guy is overrated which for a fact we all know he’s not.
Rule number 1…don’t trust a video of a player had his best years in football.
Shumi’s video shows that he’s a quality player and will only get better.
