Matthew Kilgallon Part of Blades’ Very Leaky Defense

Even though Sheffield United have not won in six games, they still have one or two very good players.

Chris Hughton – tough game on Monday

And speaking today about our game on Monday evening at Bramall Lane, Chris Hughton said:

“They’ve got Chris Morgan and Matthew Kilgallon who are two tough and experienced players.”

“Whoever we are up against I expect a tough game.”

With the news today that we are still interested in 25 year-old center-back Matthew Kilgallon, we’ll at least be able to take a look at him on Monday night.

The Blades have conceded 16 goals in their last 6 games, so that would at least suggest the Blades’ defense has not been playing too well.

Kilgallon has started 5 of the last 6 Blades’ games, but was an unused substitute when Sheffield United drew 1-1 with Doncaster Rovers at Bramall Lane on 3rd October.

And also news today that Newcastle could miss out on 21-year-old striker Joakim Rudolfsen, who we were said to be interested in a a couple of weeks ago.

But our Norwegian readers didn’t think he was as good as 18 year-old Nile Ranger and 20 year-old Andy Carroll, who we already have at the club and both of whom are playing very well right now.

So we’ll not lose too much sleep if Joakim goes elsewhere.

This player really doesn’t excite me.
Can’t see many people rushing to get his name plastered over the yellow away kit either.

Mactoon yes seen that, call me a cynic but my immediate thought was – well he will not be replaced, another salary saved.

By the by, good luck Richard.
