Ryan Taylor has come out today and talked about Newcastle’s Slovenian young gun Haris Vuckic, and some of the other young talent coming through the ranks at the Newcastle club
Haris Vuckic – in first team squad next season – love those boots
Ryan talked about the 17 year-old Slovenian U21 International to the Evening Chronicle today:
“Haris is a good example of the sort of lads who might get their chance next season and I definitely think they’ll get an opportunity.”
“He’s already made a few appearances for the first team and he did well in the last game against Queens Park Rangers when he came on.”
“It can only be good for the club to see them developing young talent and it’s something we can look forward to next season.”
“When Haris came on it showed what ability he’s got – he nearly scored with his first touch.” “It looks promising for the club, there are a few coming through.”
Chris Hughton has already announced that five youngsters will be promoted to the first team squad next season and they are Haris Vuckic, 18 year-old Galway-born Irish defender Stephen Folan, 18 year-old Australian-born Brad Inman, Swede starlet 18 year-old Samuel Adjei and 18 year-old Amble-born striker Phil Airey.
If we can in addition to that, get four good players in during the summer, some on loan, then our squad should be strong enough to do quite well next season.
That’s our hope anyway – comments welcome.

Comment #3Yellow boots should only be worn with the away strip, is there no sense of colour co-ordination at this club?
