News from South Africa today is that since the vital and well earned 1-0 win over Slovenia last week, the England manager seems a changed man.
Fabio Capello – that smile could really unnerve the Germans
Not only that but Fabio has been seen smiling – and even more than once, and in front of his players too – and the England men are not too sure what to make of it.
So what is Fabio up to – we ask?
Maybe it’s a new strategy to unnerve the Germans, and if Fabio comes across as actually happy, that may be just too much for the Germans to take, and they could be unnerved for the big England-Germany clash tomorrow – which England must win.
The news is that the very fit-looking 64 year-old Italian has eased the tension considerably at the Royal Bafokeng training camp, by actually smiling as he walks around the training field – what an odd move by the experienced Italian!
And 64 year-old Fabio has also eased up on his strict discipline on the players, by allowing them much more freedom off the pitch.
An England source at the camp said:
“The change is amazing.” “All the tension has gone and players and the management are so more at ease. It is more informal.”
“Everyone is a lot happier. It wasn’t a great place to be in the first couple of weeks but it’s all different now.”
We think the biggest thing going for England against Germany is Fabio himself, because he could well coach England back to the way they were playing in the qualifying rounds, and if he can do that England can beat Germany in the 90 minutes.
And we will not even need to go to a penalty shoot-out – which we’ve never won.
Here’s hoping Fabio’s new strategy works. :D.

Comment #3He’s had plenty to laugh at, not least Green’s howler and the idiotic FA renewing his contract before he had actually satisfied the initial conditions by reaching the semis.
