Newcastle Interested In Marseilles Ghana International

The News Of  The World is reporting this morning that Newcastle United are interested in Marseille’s Ghana World Cup winger,  Andre Ayew.

André Ayew – Newcastle interested

It appears that Marseilles manager Didier Deschamps is a huge fan of former Newcastle winger Charles  N’Zogbia, and is trying to get him from Wigan Athletic, to the French Champions in January.

The Marseilles club will have to pay around £9M for the French winger, and the news is they will need to sell some of their players first to come up with the money.

Ayew is only 20 years old and his best years are still ahead of him, and he fits perfectly with the Newcastle’s transfer policy of signing young players for smaller fees, than the finished product.

The 27 times capped winger, who stands 5’10”,  hasn’t settled well at Marseilles,  and was on loan last season to Arles-Avignon, helping the club win their promotion to Ligue 1.

Andre Ayew is said to cost around £6M,  and of course his transfer could help with the signing of Marseilles’ number one target Charles N’Zogbia.   And it looks as though Newcastle are interested in the Seclin, France born youngster, who can play on either wing.

Newcastle did some business with Marseilles over the summer for Ben Arfa, but that deal hardly went smoothly for either of the three parties involved – and that’s a huge understatement of course.

But maybe Newcastle can get a good deal for the Ghana International, who has 68 first class club performances to his name, so far, with 8 goals – in addition to his 27 International appearances..

It looks to us that Newcastle will be doing some business this January, and maybe more than we think.

Comments welcome.

Tiote is going to be an immense player for us in the future, he has started off very well today and is yet to find his feet in the Prem, also think Willo will be immense for us altough will be mostly unsung and unpraised.
Watch Tiotes movment off the ball for Ben Arfas goal, keeping their defence in a guessing game.

Don’t think we would manage to get him, and it’s an infamous Sunday papers rumour.

He he, who ****ing cares what the notw says, they talk bulloxs!

King Arfa and Tiote were class today along with the rest of the team, whoever said Williamson was poor (on a previous thread) well think again, even Perch had a good game, credit to CH………. funny old game football but that’s why we love it at times and hate it at times too!

Carroll was possibly the poorest player for the Toon but that’s only because the rest played so well! Moyes was hard on his team but should have aknowledged we were the better team on the day!

Let’s buy whoever in january… 20 points+ by then is the target and ignore any Carroll for sale paper BS too. He’s our new number 9 for a season or two to come.

I seriously doubt that this is true lads
I have friends who are OM fans and the reason ayew is there is to replace HBA so i cannot seriously see them selling him and HBA for N’zogbia

Yes Warwick I think Tiote was immense and his fantastic movement off the ball which is non – existent when Smith plays, makes a huge difference.

Maybe Jonas for Nolan and Ben Arfa behind Carroll and we are starting to look like a fast and speedy outfit who can really hit teams on the break now.

tiote was excellent yesterday, he is going to be a big player for us, just wish we could of got rid of smith, and signed another similar player as cover for tiote. I agree rotonda, I think at home we should play, arfa off carroll, with jonas on the left, but cant see hughton playing like that, i would go for ameobi and carroll upfront against stoke, with ben arfa on the left, we will need the added aerial ability against stoke.

I know this is slightly off topic but the team for the next game against Stoke will be exactly the same with R.Taylor in at right back for the suspended Perch, I don’t agree with changing a winning team but at the same time if a tactical change had to be made I would put Campbell in for Coloccini as there will be an ariel bombardment from Stoke.

    Why oh why??

    -Drop Enrique – Makes sense
-Introduce a 36 at left back when they have Pennant who is fast if nothing else…
    – Play Ameobi
    – Change formation…

What ever you are on stay away from Chris!!!

I hear the Mackems need a coach!!!!

Wish people would leave Smithy alone… Okay he may not be our saviour – However, he does give 110% and always will. He does care and when all the other shites were scouting out new clubs after relegation he stuck about and carried us through much of the shit. For the first 6 months he was solid last season.

    Cut the lad some slack.

Don’t like Ryan Taylor at right back, I would even play coloccini right back and campbell in the middle with williamson. I think he will be decent at right back, another Barry venison.

A bit off topic, as well as our start to the season has been, am I the only one worrying about how many yellow cards we are racking up, a few suspensions and it could come back to haunt us.

The reason Alan Smith didnt move to other clubs is because

1)no club want him. he is not a striker nor a defensive midfielder? did u know that he never score for us?

2)He is 30 years old, too old

    3) He got high wages, only man city can afford a 30 year old average player

p/s: i love his attitude but if we were to keep him, make him as one of the staff
