We had said Joey Barton would be a key player this afternoon for Newcastle United at West Brom, but now he’s been ruled out injured, and that’s bad news.
Joey was expected to return to the first team after serving his 3 game suspension for violent conduct, but is now out through injury, which is a big blow to Newcastle.
So in that case, Chris has names an unchanged side from the starting eleven that did so well against Chelsea last Sunday, and that gives another chance to Danny Guthrie in central midfield, and Wayne Routledge out on the right wing.
For West Brom, Somen Tchoyi starts and manager Roberto Di Matteo makes one enforced change to the side that beat Everton 4-1 last weekend.
Tchoyi comes into midfield in place of Youssouf Mulumbu, who is serving the second game of a two-match ban.
Chris Brunt moves into the center of midfield with Tchoyi out on the right wing.
The referee for the game is Mike Dean of Wirral shown above – he gives lots of penalties.
Howay The Lads!!

Comment #161We didn’t stand a chance from the start with that midfield. WBA are strong in midfield so Hoots should have countered that; instead he puts 2 similar players up front and makes Strolla captain again??? WTF is Hoots doing? It’s days like this that I seriously doubt his ability at this level!!! 🙁
