The Newcastle Performance Was Completely Unacceptable

It would have been different if we had seen a rip roaring game this afternoon, with Stevenage playing way above themselves, and Newcastle playing somewhere near their best.

The result was terrible for the Newcastle club, because who wants to be eliminated at the first hurdle by a fourth division side, and especially if the club eliminated is as famous as Newcastle United, who have a wonderful history in the FA Cup competition and have won it 6 times and been beaten finalists another 7 times.

But today the team was simply a disgrace to the black and white striped shirts of the Newscaster United Football Club, and we say that after careful consideration.

It would be good if both Alan Pardew and Kevin Nolan, as representatives of the team this afternoon, get in front of those TV cameras and explain to Newcastle fans what the hell happened in that second half today. Where were the guts – where was the fight of the Newcastle players?

We don’t mind being beaten – though we don’t like it – and as we said earlier we wouldn’t have minded being beaten by Stevenage, if it had been a classic game and Newcastle played anywhere near their ability.

But they didn’t and the display was simply unacceptable and some apologies and explanations are in order from those responsible.

And we would suggest the explanations be given first to those Newcastle fans who made the long journey down to Stevenage to see one of the most woeful second half displays in Newcastle’s long history.

It’s not that it’s not good enough – the gutless display today is simply unacceptable to Newcastle fans.

When we wake up tomorrow, we’ll try to forget this game ever happened – it was that bad and that shameful for the Newcastle club – but unfortunately it’s not tomorrow morning yet.

Stevenage were the better side today and deserved the win – and we offer our congratulations for the greatest win in their history.

Shocking performance. Proof that we lack quality in depth. Smith needs to go.

we have to appeal against tiote’s dismissal. the body contact is between the boro player and tiotes thigh, surely he can’t be banned. agree that we might struggle without him on sunday. sunderland miss welbeck, zenden, cattermole, meyler, someone else? should be a close one!

“Geordiegerman 38” I think after we were beaten by Hereford in 1972 , we won the next league match away at Man Utd! I ‘d rather win at the Mackems than get entangled in a Cup run this season.

There is no way we can win against Sunderland.

If Alan Smith play, its like playing with 10 men. If i am the opposition manager, i would take advantage of that.

anyone noticed how the team just pumped up high balls all the time? they didnt even bother to play a passing game, all the defenders just kicked the ball into the opponent’s court like nobody’s business. wat the hell is this kind of tactic? and wat the hell is AP thinking? we can pass the ball better then them, yet he doesn’t want to do it.

and i got to really add that smudge and perch are SH*T. perch really seems like a player that is suitable to play in the 2nd division, totally useless player who dont know wat he is doing everytime, cant defend and cant attack. Enrique is a way classier player then him. i saw him and the opponent’s team, and i realized his way of football was no different from them! Smudge is just annonymous, its like we are playing with 10 players and his passing sucks too, he is just a player who is living on his past glory, he clearly has lost it, yet he thinks he still has it.

“IF THESE PLAYERS CONTINUE TO PLAY FOR NUFC, WE WOULD LOSE MANY MORE MATCHES DOWN THE ROAD, AND I DONT EVEN DARE TO THINK OF THAT

Agreed Roblee7, disgraceful and now pathetic just to say the least. If this continues against Sunderland with the same championship players, I won’t dare predict the scoreline..
