Kadar, Dummet Get International Calls – Donaldson Sent On Loan

Good news today that Tamas Kadar has again been called up for the full Hungary squad.

Tamas Kadar – called up by Hungary again

Tamas missed the Huddersfield 0-0 draw at home to Colchester United on Saturday, due to a hamstring injury.

The 20-year-old defender won his very first cap against Lithuania last November, although he was called up back in the summer of 2008 to the full squad but was injured in training at that time.

He made his debut at  left back, and of course he is currently on a one month loan at Huddersfield Town, where former Newcastle player and coach is the manager.

Tamas picked up the injury during their game against Walsall during the first half, and has been out ever since.

Tamas is still expected to be fit for Hungary’s friendly against Azerbaijan on February 9th, which will be played at the Al-Shabab Stadium in Dubai.

Paul Dummet

And Newcastle local youngster Paul Dummett has been included in the Welsh under-21 squad for their friendly against Northern Ireland, to be played at Wrexham’s Racecourse Ground, also on Wednesday, February 9th.

The left-back,  from Kenton School in Newcastle, was first called up by Wales Under 18s in June of 2008, because his father is Welsh, and the 19 year old has been with the Newcastle United Academy for a full 10 years.

His Newcastle hero is Steven Taylor, another local lad who has captained the England U21 side, and Steven, who turned 25 yesterday, is contracted to the club until the summer of 2016.

Ryan Donaldson

And finally 19 year old midfielder Ryan Donaldson has gone on a one month loan to Hartlepool, it was announced by Sky Sports tonight.

The England under-19 international has only just returned to training following a knee injury that he suffered last month, and he now goes straight into the Hartlepool squad for the League One game with Notts County tomorrow night at Victoria Park.

It’s good to see the Newcastle youngsters getting International call-ups – and also Ryan will now get some playing time at Hartlepool United, and joins quite a few of Newcastle youngsters out on loan at other clubs.

I heard from a mate who reports on spanish football a while back that Pablo Piatti was on NUFC’s radar…apparently we were offering Xisco as part of the deal…

Doumbia would be class. If We are looking lower down zaha from crystal palace, very fast. Or Wellington Silvia ? Both cheaply got.

ive got a sneaky feeling wer going to pull off a major deal like maybe not in terms of price but in terms of potential ability of the player lite Piatti for instance.. would be great to sign him and get Ireland in aswel we’d be sorted for the Europa League push and when bennys back and fit which will give uz an extra massive lift if hes able to perform straight away

I like Jonas and a year or so ago he crossed a bit now he has changed and helps the LB more or stays futher back he doesnt charge much down the line and produces crosses, but for his workrate along he is worth keeping in the team!

One think about Piatti i doubt Almeria would sell in this window they could replace him in time, maybe a summer move but for now DEFO not!

Xisco would maybe help them as now they have Jose Ullou whos been scoring but they do need another striker who can score so they would be interested in Xisco but would only rate him like £1/1.5 Mill.

I hope we dont get Ireland not even on loan! not a fan of his seen him many times and never has even slightly impressed me.

ashley is not as tight as some make out or he would have sold carroll, i also believe that he will one day start paying good money for players who are young and already established.
i reckon he will want to sell us one day to make a profit and if he can get players on cheap wages and spend about 20 million max a season on transfers then he will be able to build without losing money each year and therefore increase the value of the club, so maybe its true about this wonderkid but i still doubt it very much.

Would make sense to bring Argentinian players through the doors given how much collo and enrique love the toon.

Sometimes I don’t think we use the pulling power of other players enough – and Arfa’s signing (i.e. the best young french talent) should surely encourage other like players to come to us.

Hardly a wonderkid a proven scorer and provider for many season and still only 21. they are in the bottom 3 so maybe agree a fee (lower) now so when(if) they are relegated we will get him then!

    probs £6 Mil + Xisco!

One thing i love bout the Argies is they love to work hard and craft and battle for the ball, you always get commitment from them and with a base of Argies it would suit us i mean some Argies are going cheap like Pablo Mousche a decent player rumoured to be around £1 Mill etc….

Spuggy you’re right about current players using their influence to attract other players…Colo is from Cordoba and so is Piatti…so you would imagine he is aware of the argentine connection at NUFC..which might make us more attractive.

Piatti’s goal ratio is nearly 1 in 4, good for a winger.

I would like Xisco to get a chance but it seems he never will so I’d happily use him in a deal.
I love our current Argies Colo has been great this season (minus Bolton), Jonas on his day is great love his interplay with Enrique.
Haven’t seen much of Piatti but would fit into our ethos of good young players.

Well lets not get carried away, who knows, but we MUST MUST MUST be signing a winger now that routlegde is on loan. It’s would be ludicrous otherwise, it’s not like we have a plethora of talent in those positions.

So everything crossed, we bring someone better than what we’ve got. With another quality winger and Arfa and Barton tied up thats midfield sorted for years to come, with some great budding young talent to nurture and develop too in vuckic, ferguson etc.

    Then in the summer:
    – A quality supporting striker better than ameobi, best and lova
    – A RB with good defensive and offensive qualities
    – Cover for LB (if Kadar is not ready after loan)
    – clear out some dead wood and that’s us sorted!

    @Shot Bru

I totally agree with you fella!! Jonas always puts in 100% for us and has an immense partnership with Jose as their trust for each other gives Jose the confidence to go forward and the two together terrify defences! I would like to see maybe Xisco get at least one chance or two maybe on the right wing as he has played there before and done quite well. He gets alot of criticism but has never really been given a proper shot. If he does fail then loan/sell him in the summer.
As for Shola i say SELL him!! He does have great skill but is far to inconsistent and is very lazy. The ball has to go to his feet rather than him run to the ball. He got away with it last year as the Championship doesn’t play at Premier League pace. What we make on him can go to a new younger face at the Toon

Piatti is only 5’5″ though and the Prem is a much toucher and more physical league than La Liga.

Still, I don’t think it’s an issue BUT Pardew might, just a thought.

    Piatti is immense though.
Carroll up top, Piatti behind him, HBA and Jonas on wings, Noland and Barts in the middle, or Gosling and Barton in the middle = nice

But Piatti has pace, the elixir of life in the PL. We need some pace up front, Carroll ain’t the fastest albeit he’s strong and powerfull.

I really love to see the vast development of these youngsters at the moment! They are one of the most important parts of our club and the future is in their hands. I really can’t wait to see them in action. Very important players.

It’s gonna be a big test for Carroll coming back from his injury…wonder if he will continue where he left off…new players to the premiership, and teams for that matter, generally have a honeymoon period in the 1st part of the season until teams figure out how to play them…i guess the main feature of this season is that we have managed to spread the goals around the team and not relied on Carroll too much…in fact you could argue we have played a better brand of football since Carroll has been out the side.

Although he looks good in Spain, Pablo Piatti would probably take a season to get used to the PL.

    Shot Bru,

I think we have played much better football since Carroll has been out. We certainly haven’t looked so one dimensional and with a good finisher Wolfswinkle or similar, we should have won all 4 games we’ve played without carroll.

I’m sorry but I would take 30 or 40M in a heartbeat and get the likes of Taarabt and Wolfswinkle and play the ball on the deck. Carroll may well be a one season wonder and I suspect will always have injury problems.
