The Text Messages Between Steve Wraith And Andy Carroll

I have been asked to put out the text messages sent between Andy Carroll and Steve Wraith over the last two days.

Andy Carroll – Liverpool striker

So here they are:

Sunday 30th January 14:37

SW: Are you leaving mate?

AC: I’m not going anywhere mate.

Monday 31st January 16:28

SW: Liverpool in for you mate. Any truth in that?

AC: Dunno what’s happening yet still mate. Thanks.

17:02

SW: Sky Sports say it’s a matter of time mate. What’s club said?

AC: they have kind of said we don’t want u but want me to say I wanna go. And I said I don’t want to go.

17:26

SW: Have you put in a transfer request?

AC: No I didn’t that’s what I mean that’s what they wanted me to do and I said no.

17:27

SW: So they want you to go?

AC: They said they wanted to accept it.

17:28

SW: So you have no choice?

AC: Looks like it.

17:31

SW: Your agent will be doing OK out of this. When you going?

AC: I don’t know mate. Gutted tho.

17:32

SW: Any message you want put across to the fans? I’m happy to do that for you mate.

AC: They said they wanted the money.

17:37

SW: Anything else?

AC: Gutted to be leaving Newcastle but I was kind of pushed out the door.

17:41

SW: That it?

AC: Just what i’ve just said really. Gutted to be leaving my home club but I was practically told to go. Didn’t want to leave that’s why i signed a 5 year deal.

17:47

SW: I will pass these onto the press lads I know.

AC: Sound mate.

17:56

SW: Can you give press lads a call to do an interview when deal done?

AC: I will yeah. I will speak to him later. Bit busy atm mate.

I think I’m going to be sick.

Here is Alan Pardew’s take on what happened yesterday and he says Andy wanted a news deal at Newcatsle and when it was refused he asked for a transfer.

I’ve got to say after hearing Carroll’s side and the club’s side, I believe Carroll. Mike Ashley cannot be trusted. Pardew is Ashley’s employee and he will never say anything against him.

It is far too convenient that Carroll handed in a transfer request in the closing hours of the transfer window when offers from the big clubs had been coming for weeks.

Carroll left because Mike Ashley told him to get out.

Don’t believe one word Pardew says he is Ashley’s mouth piece. The club could have said no to Liverpool and no to Carroll he was on a 5 year contract. The whole thing stinks of another Ashley cock up. Sooner he goes the better

Its nothing to do with Ashley

Its honestly a stupid price to pay for a half baked player

    Andy Carroll
    Striker
    1/2 Season Full Premiership Experience
    2 Court Appearances
    Boozer
    Gambler

    35+++ mil pounds???

    LOL

Carroll is not that good my friends

    Far from it

daneevz – read geoff’s comment. Damned straight.

Look at blackpool – put their foot down on Adam DESPITE being offered huge sums and the player himself being at Liverpool HQ. They knew he was important for the remainder of the season, and could still cash in come the summer, they didn’t have time to find replacements, so ignored the players requests.

Liverpool offered only a low amount for Adam

    like 10 million

Even his corner kicks alone are worth that

Pardew – “One thing I can guarantee, having spoke to Mike Ashley, is that every penny will go back into the club. Mike’s assured me he won’t take a penny out of the transfer.”

Pardew offering fans guarantees – kind of sucks.

Going into the club is different to going on transfers.

No doubt a chunk will end up paying back Ashley for the money he had to put in because he got us relegated … Pardew won’t see half and it won’t be in the summer.

I wish I could stop supporting this club.

I think the text messages are bollocks! As David Craig pointed out yesterday on SSN, Andy Carroll has been through a very emotional and hard day, I really doubt he has time to text one of his chums anyway about his future, wasn’t he on a plane flying to Liverpool when these text messages were sent, I didn’t think you could planes on phones? Correct me if I am mistaken.

Pardew also got guarantees from Ashley that Carroll would not be sold. There is NO guarantee that the £35 million will be spent on players.

A guarantee from Mike Ashley is worthless

boater – yet he (Adam) missed out on a transfer by a couple of minutes. When will people realise, players have ALL the power. AC demanded more wages. AC requested a transfer. AC walked to the chopper. AC got out of the chopper. AC signed on the dotted line for more money.

This is my last post on the matter. He’s gone, now can we concentrate on football?

cant stand the newcastle board but this was carrolls decision, he went for money simple as lads and lasses, he didnt really have pride in the number 9 like we hoped he would, just really shows what a legend alan shearer really is

THIS SHOULD BE THE END OF ALL THIS

Yes it seems Ashley and the board wanted to accept and this bid and probs fakes the Transfer Request BUT Andy could of gone to Liverpool and rejected the terms saying he wanted to say, then today a day after transfer deadline day have an interview BLASTING Ashley for trying to sell him, he would of had our support, then we would vow to get rid of Fat Ashley with Carrol STILL at the club HE DIDNT HAVE TO AGREE TO LEAVE EVEN IF THE FEE GOT ACCEPTED HE COULD REJECT TERMS WHICH HE WOULD OF DONE IF HE LOVED NUFC WHICH HE DOESNT!

Both To Blame but Andy could of rejected Liverpools offer he wasnt forced at gun point to accept that.

His agent will no doubt have a huge hand in this. What has Carroll done though? Carroll of course knows he has the whole support of the fans and manager on his side despite however much money Ashley would like to make on him. I fully believe Carroll’s played his part in the transfer by asking NUFC to match his wages – he’ll think it’s his “Shearer” moment, being the no. 9, to be assured by the club he’s our top priority. Shearer always had the top wage at the club. Carroll’s agent meanwhile has engineered the move between offering Ashley an easy way out to grab £35mill and presenting his client to ‘Pool to replace Torres who had his foot out the door for days. Between the agent, Ashley and ‘Pool – the deal’s all just circumstancial to it’s completion, regarding how the player handles it and what the “ramifications” (Pardew) to the club are.

So unfortunately, now we’re left with the cold harsh truth that simply, Carroll has been enticed to Liverpool as he clearly wants to be there, not least for the wages and signing on fee he’ll be getting. The texts about not wanting to go? Simple – like I said, he didn’t “want” to go, in the face of how the fans would react… just as long as his newly signed 5 year deal was pumped up triple the wages.

It’s a shame, but we can’t get too disheartened by sentiment of how he’s “one of us”. No footballer from now on should ever be considered a “loyal” prospect to the club. I mean just look at the move which REALLY kicked this off – Bent to the Villa. They said this £100M+ mash of deals was looming from it, and just look at how quickly SOS, Kop and Gallowgate ‘icons’ can jump ship when the money and business makes sense.

My only wish from the whole thing is we make the assurances to the key players that we are going to compensate this setback with a financed push for some success either in league position or cup run next year.

    FINAL DECISION WAS ANDY CARROLLS.

BOTH BOARD AND CARROLL HAPPY BOTH HAVE DONE EXTREMLY WELL.

One day when the moneys dried up after a divorce and blowing loads of money he will want to return home, he will not hold any status in his hometown and be despised and when he falls off the wagon no one will give a f**k

What is clear is that NUFC is being run like a business. Like it or lump it. Love him or hate him, Ashley has sorted out a complete mess of a club and is putting it on a healthy financial footing. But we are in the real world and whatever happens and whoever owns the club it is first and foremost a business. And there is no room for sentiment. Carroll has gone. Cry a river build a bridge and get over it. Move on.

This was great business from Newcastle side. This sends a message that we will not sell any player unless they pay a ridiculous amount of money for it. If the big clubs are going after players like Tiote and Enrique. Think about the amount of money they will have to put on the table. Every player can be replaced and we got 2,5£ mill for every goal Carroll has netted in PL (14 goals in 41 appearances). That’s got to be a world record.

The only shitty thing about this deal is that we didn’t have any time to get a replacement. But if you think about it, the team spirit is high, and we haven’t lost one game in last four conceded only 2 goals. This all without Carroll. Like I said. No one is bigger than the club.

jasonbourne – You’re right. Some of you guys are making me feel better about this all. If we invest some of this money wisely in the summer then we’ll be winning this.

If we don’t spend in summer or we do and buy badly like Charles Insomnia then we have lost this.

If by summer we are not still in the Premiership…it’s over forever I am afraid.

There seems to be a lot of new names posting on here

Where you all from London? Ashleys multiple user name mates spouting sh*te and lies?

The Text’s to Steve Wraith are real ..so get real
    Andy was forced out

Cant you all see what’s going to happen time and time again ?

No good hanging your hat on any player because soon as any of the so called big 5 come knocking then they will be sold. 100% true .

So we will Remain as a mid table club never going anywhere other than the odd skirmish with relegation from season to season. That’s all you have to look foreward to now .

With one transfer Ashley has ripped the heart out of the belief of the other players that the club was going somewhere ..One transfer makes the statement that we are going nowhere and kills the hopes of the fans and the players.

In the summer a Big offer from Chelsea will see
Tiote gone Another offer from Man U will see Enrique gone Ashley will not refuse big offers for our players ..Never !!

We don’t have a club now or at least a club that is going places ..we are going nowhere but down .

Ashley is only into making as much profit he can on any player to get his money back

This club is just a cash cow for the Fat Man.

And all the false multiple posters on here in support of Ashley , No doubt his little press freind’s and company lackeys Backing him up here do me favour and FU*k off ..we can see right through you ..

Andy Carrol was forced out for the money.
They told him he had to go.
They wanted the MONEY !! This one transfer has RIPPED THE GUTS out of the club and the fans.

    KEVIN KEEGAN WAS RIGHT

COME ON KEV PUT A CONSORTIUM TOGETHER.
YOU HAVE FRIEND’S IN THE MIDDLE EAST.

    THEY ONCE BOUGHT
NEWCASTLE A NEW TEAM BUS ..LETS GET ON BOARD WITH THEM !

The Casino kings are here to make a profit for themselves …

They don’t understand the feeling up here and are bereft of the feeling for our history

    KEVIN KEEGAN CONSORTIUM PLEASE .
