I would love if Newcastle signed a international midfielder for less than 6million, with bags of pace, great skills and one hell of a shot! Would be immense and our best player for next season.

like barca yeah, but nolans no iniesta & taylor no pique:) although i do like it..but i think nolan would be our weakest link (in that line up) im afraid..hes good for the dressing room..knows how to score..but i wouldnt want him in the midfield..hes an average midfielder with scoring ability of inzaghi:)

i would love a cahill, shawcross or a dann to play alongside colo some muscle to compliment colo technical abilty and a rb to compete with simo might make him concentrate more if he thought his place was on line

nightfa11 – Yer ano nolan aint got the leg put Pardew loves him plus he can find the net Cabaye and Tiote will be doing all the work and a think they will have Gervinho Ben Arfa like wingers when we defend and have Nolan as a free role then when on attack have the front 3 attacking and nolan jst picking and loose balls up but that what a think lol we could end up playing 442 haha but would like to see gosling at RB thou.

i dont think they ever won blogs MOTM.

    Mancgeordie
yes hes quite slow..can react quckly, but overall slow..he was good for us, but i dont see him in our fast attacking squad.. if we do sell him it could mean disrupting the harmony at the club, but not if we change half a squad..as it is planned for this summer. fresh start..with almost completely new lineup.

second half of the season simpson was at fault for a lot of the goals we conceded, only up side is pardew was a defender so must see what we all see and hopefully sorts it out.

yeah i know what u mean..but with 3 attackers..& nolan also more of an attacking midfielder, cos he cant defend or put pressure on opponents it would mean we would be quite exposed at the back.. im not saying it couldnt work…but it would be a bit risky.

For all of you talking about selling Barton and Nolan, do you not remember how we ended up in the state we were in two years ago?

Because selling experienced, English, BPL proven players, and bringing in a load of unproven inexperienced foreigners was definitely a big reason.

Yer agreed well hopefully we will find out soon enough about Enrique il be gutted if he goes like even thou a think he has gone already ๐Ÿ™ Fergie can play LB or LW a think Pardew like him more on the wing thou but he was cover for Jose so another good young talent to have bright future next season, the GK situation going be the worst a feel

Harper: he is great keeper but hes getting on.

Krul: young keeper bit of a hit and miss for me but only young and needs a chance.

Forster: young massive keeper aint seen to much of him but enough to say think he can be a top keeper in few years another one who just needs a chance

i think the problem was with ashley and managers.. we have lots of new players at the club..we got rid off keegan..then had kienar (or what ever his name was)..he had a surgery so we didnt have a manager for 3 months..at the tome hughton was in charge & then shearer was the manager who was fighting with barton. that was the reason..so many new managers..so many new styles of play..& for players who just came from la liga..& didnt know EPL.. that was the reason. it must have been hard for colo & jonas especially..

toondownsouth depends on who you bring in to replace him doesn’t have to be from abroad denilson, holden, personally though i reckon craig gardner from brum would be an astute buy how many goals from mid this season

But we’re here listing dozens of players from France & Italy who don’t know the prem either ๐Ÿ˜›

I understand that a lot of circumstances contributed, and I’m not suggesting that it’d get us relegated next season.

I just know the importance of a strong, home grown back bone to your teams – ala Liverpool, United, Chelsea. United’s team has no individual talent bar their strikers and their pensioners, but they’re still a class act due to players being bought through with their mentality.

true..but league un is mixture off all leagues..french players dont have problems adapting to any league.. its different for latin player who come to EPL.. tevez & mascerano didnt have problmes but that was it:)

as for those proven EPL players..when we went down we had duff, viduka, owen, martins, etc etc..all proven “class” players..

ToonDownSouth yer iv got to agree with that mate.

See the only thing am worried about is getting to many players from abroad then turning out to be flops ๐Ÿ™ a dont think who were linked with so far would be a think would be great player and fit in really well, but another thing dunno if yourself or anyone else agrees with me but the Gamerio were after he is a talent and deffo a no.9 for sure but when he comes out and say Spain and Valencia is his more place he would like to play that say to me there his 2nd choice but a dont want player who choose us as 2nd choice a want player who look at Newcastle and wants to be there a think we should move on from Gamerio if am honest end of the day if we say no to him then Valencia doesnt come in for him or any other team he stays at his current team a bet he is kicking him self thinking y didnt a go to Newcastle a think Sturridge should be our no1 target.

true but i dont trus nolan in midfield..right behind the striker sure, no problem, but not in midfield..:) as for barton..sure..no problem..BUT..his attutude has been poor towards the board since hes been here..had a very good season..congrats to him…but 1 season cant justify his 65k per week for the first 3 seasons..plus refusing to take a paycut while he was in prison..plus forcing the board to pay man c compensation..etc etc.. i dont know whats going on behind the scenes..but i think he shouldnt get a twitter account:) if it would be just about football of course id want him here for years to come..but..its not just football..

Hey guys, its been a few months since i posted on here but i have been reading regularly…

I just wanted to address the comments about ashley pocketing the cash from the carrol sale.

I did a year of business law in collage and from what i remember what your sugesting is legaly impossiple, the money ashley has pumped into the club is an interest free loan..

legaly a loan cannot be given or taken especially not one for such a high amount without a set re-payment plan..

what you are sugesting is like the bank suddenly deciding one day to take full payment of your mortage just because you came into some money…

the money for that sale is on the books of the club..

to make his money back he must help the club grow and become a europian regular.

    1. to incrase profits
    2. to incrase the worth of the club
    3. to make his money back and more when he sells the club.

dont fear that he will take our profits and run(fraud)

Know that he needs the club to excel for his own personal wealth..

sorry for the long winded comment..

if he sells the club…we can only hope that the buyers are something like liverpools new owners.

someone that will buy the club and pay the loan at the same time.

he also cannot forclose on the loan while he is the owner because he has control of the finances and any missed payments are his own fault…..

he would have known all this before pumpin the money in…

I think that the clubs sucess is a genuine goal for him, if not for the same reason it is for us.

Surely even this incompetent board/owner cannot be this stupid?

Selling a player that came 2nd in OUR blog POTY and 1st is the Gazette POTY.
When he even stated he wanted to stay.
Why sell to a team in your league who are your enemy, they are trying to get into Europe too.
Selling a BIG presence in the dressing room and a BIG player for us (getting 2nd and 1st in two poles for player of year) which could be a catalyst for others leaving, if we loose Andy/Barton/Jose this isnt moving foward and no ammont of Foreign players can cover this up.

Danny Simpson signs new 5 year contract, not sure about this i like him (although his constant chatting of Man United is getting on my nerves) plus he is way to easy to beat and all the other teams chances come from his side.
But this must annoy Barton even more seeing other “Younger” players get new contracts (Tiote/Fergusson/Danny)
