Would Wigan Sell N’Zogbia Back To Newcastle?

There’s no doubt that Newcastle would love to bring Charles N’Zogbia back to Newcastle.

Zoggy-Is he coming back to Newcastle?

However, there is a little question of how much would Dave Whelan be willing to sell him for and how much would Mike Ashley be willing to pay for him?  I think anyone would be thrilled to get a player of Charlie’s ability in the £9-10mil range.

But I think that any price above that would be stretching it. And we all know Mike Ashley is not looking to do that.

Dave Whelan has come out and all but said that N’Zogbia will be leaving this summer. This is what he told the Evening Post:

“There is quite a lot of interest in Zoggy. He has said to me I’ve enjoyed my time at Wigan but I want to move on to other things,

“He’s very proud now of playing for France again and he feels a bigger club would be better for him for selection for France, for which we have to agree and I’ve said we will not stand in his way.

“There have been plenty of enquiries but the season is still a bit away yet and the transfer market is only just beginning to kick in. They’re all on holiday but we’ll come together in a fortnight and sort it.

“If a player comes in saying he’s unhappy playing for Wigan Athletic, I want to move – I’m not going to say you can’t move. I’m going to say okay, we’ll put you on the list, try and find you a club, as long as we get the right fee, we’re going to let you go.

“If people want to employ someone, they should have the right to do that.”

What is the right fee for N’Zogbia? While he is a proven premiership player, there are probably better bargains overseas. Would you want Charles back at Newcastle if it was for £12 mil?

wigan would sell him back to newcastle but it would be for a lot more than what we sold him for. hes a good player but we should focus on strikers first

Of course he will. We sold him to Wigan 2 years ago so why not? But, it’s gonna cost us atleast 10m and I say pay up and get a move on.

Glad to hear Ed is on the mend..

Anything over 7/8M is too much,Doesnt score or assist enough to break into that 9/10+M bracket, but ofcourse Wigan want “Silly” money for him.

But, when he’s playing around better players like Cabaye, Ben Arfa, Jonas, Tiote, Barton he’ll score more goals and definitely get a lot more assists. He’ll be over the 7/8m because he is in the EPL and with someone of his calibre he’ll definitely demand a larger fee than what we sold him for. I’d pay the 12m if it came to that, but I do think if he wants the move himself and we come in with a 10m bid we’ll land his signature. Whelan seems like a decent bloke and I can’t see him pulling the plug on any deal if the player wanted it. Secure his signature then we can push for our main striker target (whoever that is?)

Despite differences between Ashley and Whelan, money talks and there is a very good chance that zog will end up back at nufc. In my opinion anyway.

yeah of course they would, we’d have him back in a heartbeat too. 1 thing is for sure though we won’t be taken for mugs with the fee, Ashley won’t allow it.

charles n’zogbia would solve lots of things missing in our squad. He has the flair, speed, blistering shot, and plenty of skill to terrorize the defense. I really want us to resign him up for whatever he is worth. 12 million, than 12 million be it, he is worth it. Slot him in right wing, ben arfa in the center attacking mid role, and Jonas Gutierrez on left wing. Then we need to sign a top young potential finisher, find a better right back, like kyle walker to replace danny simpson, and enrique is a question?

    ^ From twatter.

Now first off, I do not believe any of the crap this guy spews out, but on the off chance that there is any truth in this, would anyone really be disappointed about possibly striking a player+cash swap deal for Lennon?

I rate lennon higher then Barton to be honest, due to the consistency in Performance Lennon has shown over the past few years… and because he is a fast S.O.A.B…..

Id Take Aaron Lennon in a Heartbeat!

Now your coming with questions and making Artikles from them! So here,s a few?

Would Newcastle qualify for Europe next season?

Could Newcastle win the F.A Cup next season?

Should Lionel Messi come to Newcastle on a free transfer?

What is the chance that Newcastle get a good top 4 finnish next year?

Another pointless post Ed! I think your having problems trying to get pucca-gen facts to write about!

Nzogbia has the potential to be a legendary winger in our club. He’s just a headache for defence. Will pay up to 12m for him no doubt.

And what’s all this lennon talk? Why would Aaron Lennon leave spurs for us?

Many of us have been touting Ben Arfa to play as attacking midfielder in the centre.
    Question is: can he?
    will he?

I think the most suitable position for Ben Arfa would be in either flanks and NOT in the middle.

So, is it sensible to buy another winger? I don’t think so.

Don’t get me wrong. I like Charles a lot. And he loves the Toon too. But, TACTICALLY, I would prefer Jonas and Ben Arfa on flanks, whilst giving chances for our youngsters to prosper. We’ve got a highly potential left winger in Ferguson. We have others too. So for the sake of long term success of the Toon. I would say “Nein” to Charles. Unless we could buy him at 8 million pounds, which is in our dreams.

So, why writing about another winger when what we REALLY NEED is strikers?
    Am just being objective.
    I love the Toon.
    I love the city.
I love to see the Toon on Top of the League, of course.

I would like him back here- a great attacking pacey player. Hopefully he has grown up a bit and can work with a manager with a better man management skill. Having listened to the wigan owner over the past few years he seems a total gentleman (however he has stated he does not like our owner – wonder why) so if we get Zog it will be expensive. One thing that worries me at the moment is that whilst the signing of Cabaye is a great move (neat and tidy player) our early moves into the transfer market seem to be paper talk at the moment and I have a gut feeling a lot of other clubs will bring in before we do. The Zog/ Bentdner/ Sturridge would be 3 great signings added to Cabaye/HBA/Gosling.
    Keep the Faith

bill marson…. ben arfa has publicly stated his favored position is in the centre, behind the striker… you can guarantee we will see him more in that position than anywhere else next season, bet my wife on it!

and i like him there… it means he’s got the whole attacking third in front of him, he has no constraints with space etc and he has the ability to play the ball any way he chooses… cant wait to see our team in 2 months time…

i hope i’m not getting excited for nothing!

Neil s stepping in for Ed whilst he recovers from an operation you tool so cut the bloke some slack and be grateful Neil had the decency to step in for a few days… shame you aint got the decency to show another human being some respect because ultimately, if you dont like a post, dont comment on it… what good does it do… apart from hi-light the fact that your an obnoxious dirt bin
