An update on my health situation - we have terminated the PluVicto treatment halfway through, because of the severity of the side effects - diarrhea, vomiting, and acid reflux.
And there was no evidence the treatment was having any positive effect in stopping the prostate cancer from spreading in the bones.
There are no treatments left for me to go on.I will go into home hospice care now and will have a hospice nurse visit me at home regularly to ensure I am as comfortable as possible and we will treat the side effects of the treatments I have had.
It's down the final stretch now, and I have run out of treatments, and nature will now take its course.
I hope Newcastle can get many wins this season from now on, and I am at peace with all of this.
Thanks for all your help through the years - it's very much appreciated

Wish we could rely on them 🙁 Always hurts being on the other end of a blunder haha.
The difference is, against United the ref made a bad call because the linesman did not see it properly.
Here, the ref saw it but bottled it because we were 3 minutes in.
But hey, I don’t want to win every game purely because they have 10 men. But it was probably a goal scoring opportunity

Comment #19krul – amazing our motm could of been double figures without him
simpson – didn’t do anything wrong really looked better when compared to ryan taylor
saylor – solid gonna struggle without him for a while i think its gonna be
collo – amazing on pitch saved us with his textbook interceptions
raylor – im an admirer of his but its time for santon to come in he’s too slow to be a full back
cabaye/guthrie – played well picked out passes
obertan – poor gave ball away constantly and never looked like taking a man on
ben arfa – looked good taking players on why bring him off?
ba – class
obviously feeling agreeved about the red card but pardews decision the play long ball football in the second half was a bit dissapointing however we gave them a game and on another day could of got something

Comment #20I think injuries were always going to be our major undoing,we managed to cope with Tiote’s but any injuries to our CB’s and we collapse like a deck of cards. Also we all knew Raylor would get found out if his “babysitter” Jonas was absent

Comment #21Shit. I voted Cabaye but yeah it was Krul.
I though Cabaye and Guthrie were decent in midfield. Especially Cabaye who created a lot.
Ben Arfa again showed some great creativity at times. Having him on the pitch definitely improves the whole team. We play a higher standard of nice passing football with him plugging the gaps and giving options.
Missed Colo but Perch did decent considering he hasnt played there for ages.
Raylor got skinned and missed Jonas.
Obertan certainly the WORST player. He has the skill and ability. What he doesnt have is the brain for the game yet. He needs to start thinking 2 moves ahead instead of running into traps he is never going to get out of. The only thing he really contributed was when Cabaye or Guthrie would take a one-two with him to lessen the pressure form Chelsea.
Worrying about Saylor and Colo. Could be up the creek.
That said we played well at times and held up against them. The score in no way reflects the game. Im not saying they didnt deserve a win. But it should have been 2-1 or 1-1.
This is how i think the team should look (injuries aside)
Simmo Saylor Colo Raylor
Sammy Tiote Cabaye Jonas
HBA
BA
Sammy shows at times a great ability to back track and help out in defense. Which is a surprise given his size. He is also more intelligent than Obertan which often trumps skill and again is surprising because of his age (you’d think Sammy would be doing what Obertan does due to inexperience). He can also score. Jonas on his stronger foot. Shola should be used as an impact sub more. He has appeared effective in this role recently. He is also very good at taking the ball down and holding the line, which he is never given credit for.

Agree mate – Hanson is going to be all over this tonight on MOTD – shameful inconsistency.
Luiz should have walked, it would have been massively different has they been reduced to 10, however ref bottled it as it was early in the game.
That said, we got a lucky penalty last week at manure.

Comment #26Krul- 8.5 Two world class low left handed saves in the first half- the first on Lampards penalty, the second on Sturridges breakaway. Could really do nothing with Drogbas header and made a couple more great saves in the second half. Extremely unlucky to give up two more late goals and had another man of the match performance.
Simpson- 4 Wretched first half where he gave the ball away way too easily. He is a young improving defender who can hang with other decent players in the EPL but when coming against a star such as Mata, he has no chance. Improved in the second half but still a very weak display today.
S Taylor- 7.5 An extremely difficult game without his better center defender partner. Solid in the first half but couldn’t do much playing alongside a player as wretched as Perch. Worked his ass off like usual but was given no help from his pathetic other defenders. Came off injured late on in what looks to possible be a serious calf injury.
Coloccini- N/A Made a couple solid defensive stops before he came off earl with what looks like an ongoing back injury. Was sorely missed to say the least.
R Taylor- 4.5 Some of the worst positioning I have ever seen. For a defender, he brings a great work rate and an exceptional offensive game. However, he is far too slow to be playing at outside defense in the EPL and for a defender, he really cannot defend well at all. Horrible challenge at the end of the match that showed his frustration and easily could have been a red.
Obertan- 4.5 Yes he is dangerous with the ball on the right wing and has skills in abundance. But he seems to run around like a headless chicken that has no soccer IQ whatsoever. Gave the ball away way too easily and seems to only be able to go right, thus making him far too predictable for a winger.
Cabaye- 7.5 Solid all around. I love everything about this player and he does everything above average. He is fierce in the tackle, seems to always be one of the smartest players on the pitch, and has perfected the cross field pass. However, he was slightly at fault for Mata getting separation in Drogba’s first half goal.
Guthrie- 6.5 He is too slow and not even close to the power man that is Tiote. However, he knows what his strengths are and sticks to them wisely. Another solid game deputizing at center mid.
Lovenkrands- 6 A surprising start, and a more surprisingly well played first half where he looked dangerous and full of confidence every time on the ball. Faded massively in the 2nd half and came off for Sammy.
Ben Arfa- 5 Newcastle’s most skilled player did what he has been doing all season- he tried to do too much too much of the time. He did again show his flashes of skill when on the ball but could have done much more. Came off at half, hopefully for tactically reasons and not cause of injury.
Ba- 7.5 Easily Newcastle’s most dangerous player who has developed into a fantastic all around striker and one of the buys, if not the buy, of the season. Hit the post once in the first half off a fantastic header and forced another post hit again in the second half when pressuring Drogba. Got tired at the end and seemed to need more help today.
Subs
Perch- 4 Maybe the worst player in the EPL. He is far too weak to hang w/ Drogba in the air and is far too unconfident to do anything else well either. The drop off going from Collo to him is like going from dating a dime for a year and having her break up with you so you go to the bar get blacked out and take home the fatty. However, he did improve greatly in the second half and seemed like he finally grew some confidence. Sadly, it looks like he will be starting in central defense the nest couple weeks.
Shola Amoebi- 5.5 Came on at halftime for Ben Arfa to add a big physical presence and def made his presence felt. He, as always, screwed up a couple opportunities but was able to hit a lovely right footed rocket off the bar. Like the rest of his team, he was very unlucky today.
Sammy Amoebi- 5 Showed his flashes of skill in one dribble but didn’t offer much else.

Comment #27Are you all mad? How can any of you rate Cabaye’s performance? He gave away the penalty and then switched off for Chelsea’s first goal, punishing all of the teams hard work. He had a poor game for me and has been poor for a few games now. Ben Arfa is also such a liability, Now Best is back we should be playing our winning formation of 442, ben arfa is still not used to the english game

Totally agree. cabaye has been poor for us. i dont get everybody raving about him. he has had one good game against villa, the rest of the games has passed him buy. I think he will come good next season
