Great News – Coloccini, Tiote And Santon Start For Newcastle

Great news today that Newcastle captain Fab Coloccini and top midfielder Cheick Tiote both start for Newcastle this afternoon against Swansea at home.

And the other good news is that David Santon get a start at right back as we had hoped for, following his good performance at Norwich last Week.

As expected James Perch will line up alongside Coloccini but that should be a lot easier this week, with James having an immensely experienced player alongside him.

And another surprise is that Leon Best takes over from Shola Ameobi up front, so Leon must have been looking  good in training this week.

Mike Williamson is also on the bench as expected and all being well he could get 15 minutes at the end of the game for James Perch, depending on how the game is going.

There is no Ryan Taylor, so we don’t know why that’s the case – but maybe Alan Pardew is giving the Liverpudlian a rest.

And it’s interesting that both Mehdi Abeid and Haris Vuckic make the bench, and of course the 19 year-olds are two of Newcastle’s top youngsters.

This is an improved  defense than last week’s side at Norwich, and we will be looking for Newcastle to get back to their winning ways.

Howay The Lads!!

Substitutes: Steve Harper, Mike Williamson, Medhi Abeid, Haris Vuckic, Hatem Ben Arfa, Sammy Ameobi, Shola Ameobi

Gorgonzola it infuriates me too when he plays poorly but we still have to get behind the lads in the B+W the reason we are all here is because we all want the best for this club, we’re all passionate about moving this club forward but the way to do that is not to bash and slag off players who are trying their hardest for the cause. I would rather bash the wasters who are proving nothing to the club, that are lifting a wage and not even trying to break into the first team, players like Kadar piss me off more than players like Perch, at least he gives his everything, and it might not be good enough but I respect the man for what he gives us and that is 100%

    niafron!

Raylor is injured. Good for Santon though.

What do you think of the Maiga transfer falling through due to a failed medical?

Gorganzola – Fair play mate, but I think we all know the limitations of Perch. I think most of us would want someone better in……but do we know we have someone better/fitter to put in….No……

Its much like a child being in the back seat saying “are we there yet”, they know we are not, we know we are not…but they keep on bloody repeating it.

Perch right back? Where did you get that from? I was thinking that to be fair. Simpson was the better CB

Let’s be honest he hasn’t brought his A game recently has he? Santon was pretty good last couple of games so deserves a run. Maybe teh kick Raylor needs to get back to better form?
