Great News – Coloccini, Tiote And Santon Start For Newcastle

Great news today that Newcastle captain Fab Coloccini and top midfielder Cheick Tiote both start for Newcastle this afternoon against Swansea at home.

And the other good news is that David Santon get a start at right back as we had hoped for, following his good performance at Norwich last Week.

As expected James Perch will line up alongside Coloccini but that should be a lot easier this week, with James having an immensely experienced player alongside him.

And another surprise is that Leon Best takes over from Shola Ameobi up front, so Leon must have been looking  good in training this week.

Mike Williamson is also on the bench as expected and all being well he could get 15 minutes at the end of the game for James Perch, depending on how the game is going.

There is no Ryan Taylor, so we don’t know why that’s the case – but maybe Alan Pardew is giving the Liverpudlian a rest.

And it’s interesting that both Mehdi Abeid and Haris Vuckic make the bench, and of course the 19 year-olds are two of Newcastle’s top youngsters.

This is an improved  defense than last week’s side at Norwich, and we will be looking for Newcastle to get back to their winning ways.

Howay The Lads!!

Good interplay between Tioté and Ober. We’re playing a really progressive game here, players dropping in and out for others. Like it.

Read all the reports about Tiote going in January, would be VERY disappointed were it to happen based on the way he is playing for us now.

Need to stop the rot of being a selling club.

If we get big money and some decent players from Chelsea, I’ll be happy Steve. This is one transfer that Ashley really needs to play hardball with.

Would have to be he’s only just put pen to paper for a new 5 year deal over the summer.

But my point in we need stability, stability breeds confidence, and with confidence we can enjoy Champion’s League money next season – surely Cashley knows this and if he acts the converse and sells the family silver, it proves his short termist views of getting cash at any price, and not giving a sh*t about the fans – right?

I know my previous point contradicts my earlier point about selling Andy Carrol, but in the end that WAS a good deal, Carrol cannot hit a barn door, Tiote CAN defend and is solid in midfield.

As an aside if I see us hit the bar / post again this season, I what the odds are at BetFred? Am SICK of seeing the ball rebound this season – missed opportunities and we’re rueing them now as we’re slipping down the table.

DO you got a wizard? I mean, there’s a lot more of african players in the team now. And all good football clubs in Africa got a good wizard.

You can’t win nothing without it.
