Great News – Coloccini, Tiote And Santon Start For Newcastle

Great news today that Newcastle captain Fab Coloccini and top midfielder Cheick Tiote both start for Newcastle this afternoon against Swansea at home.

And the other good news is that David Santon get a start at right back as we had hoped for, following his good performance at Norwich last Week.

As expected James Perch will line up alongside Coloccini but that should be a lot easier this week, with James having an immensely experienced player alongside him.

And another surprise is that Leon Best takes over from Shola Ameobi up front, so Leon must have been looking  good in training this week.

Mike Williamson is also on the bench as expected and all being well he could get 15 minutes at the end of the game for James Perch, depending on how the game is going.

There is no Ryan Taylor, so we don’t know why that’s the case – but maybe Alan Pardew is giving the Liverpudlian a rest.

And it’s interesting that both Mehdi Abeid and Haris Vuckic make the bench, and of course the 19 year-olds are two of Newcastle’s top youngsters.

This is an improved  defense than last week’s side at Norwich, and we will be looking for Newcastle to get back to their winning ways.

Howay The Lads!!

Does ba want to score 15 goals this game? So he’s still top scorer by time he comes back from acn

Need something before half time though or Swansea will come out fighting in after HT

This looks like a practice game and Merson said in his predications us and swans were on same level at start of season these so called ex footballers must of snorted too much coke when they played coz they won’t for a clue, Andy gray is only one I think who’s got a clue

Obertan always takes 10 touches too many… It’s just infuriating.

He has such great pace and ball control and trickery, but just can’t put a decent early ball in! Gah!

Obertan playing much better. He is taking them on and delivering.

Have a prediction that Jonas and Santon will be the new great left sided partnership. Second game together and great understanding.

    Demba Ba is amazing.

Tiote and Coloccini are our two most important players. Cannot be sold.

We just need the ball to go into the back of the net dammit!!!!

I don’t know why people don’t understand Obe. Yes, sometimes he holds the ball for too long. But sometimes it is necessary to get into a better position. I prefer that a player makes a decision sometimes, not to move the ball too fast, because he sees that he will lose it.

Missed first 20 mins, what i saw we looked pretty good, I can see Santon and Guti making an excellent combo as they get more used to each other.

Cabaye not as influential as I would have hoped though, need to involve him more.
