An update on my health situation - we have terminated the PluVicto treatment halfway through, because of the severity of the side effects - diarrhea, vomiting, and acid reflux.
And there was no evidence the treatment was having any positive effect in stopping the prostate cancer from spreading in the bones.
There are no treatments left for me to go on.I will go into home hospice care now and will have a hospice nurse visit me at home regularly to ensure I am as comfortable as possible and we will treat the side effects of the treatments I have had.
It's down the final stretch now, and I have run out of treatments, and nature will now take its course.
I hope Newcastle can get many wins this season from now on, and I am at peace with all of this.
Thanks for all your help through the years - it's very much appreciated

Comment #4Thanks to Ed, repost. Was it over confidence or the pressure of maybe qualifying for CL?

Comment #6Hatem. Only in the second half. First half all players looks bad.
Krul was awful first half, second half was much better.
Cisse did some good job running and pressuring but he didn’t score 3 chances that he had so, no way he is the best Newcastle player.
Hatem and then Cisse.

Agree with u there, at the same time, margins in the 2nd half was not with us.
Hopefully this stays as the odd out result and we can still go confident into Chelsea.

Comment #14Well everyone was poor 1st half but everytime we get beaten comfortably either simo or wilo are usually the two useless cnuts behind it.
I cant believe people are slating pardew for taking benny off when it was so obvious that he was taking him off to save him for chelsea as no chance of getting back in this game idiots.

I thought Hatem was good 2nd half. Santon wasn’t bad first half.
Colo, Simpson and Williamson all had absolute ‘mares though.

Aye, results like this are humiliating and they hurt. I think both us fans and the players was complacent today and thought we would be unbeatable.
Which, tbh, makes the defeat even harder to take.
Hopefully we can brush it off and be awake and ready at Chelsea.
Would also be nice to have a few results go our way tomorrow 😉

Comment #27JAMASHA i would agree that BA has been terrible for a while but the 433 formation is the one we look most comfortable with and who wouldd you play on the left he has no competition.
Fergy – posssible would rather still play an off BA
Jonas – Cant beat anyone anymore not sure whats hapened to him but a useless lm now imo.

Comment #29This is going to sound petty and juvenile but after the debate this week on the blog I would love for one person to look at the opta stats, watch today’s game and say we should retain Simmo as the first choice RB.
I am not blaming him or Willo for the defeat but it’s obvious who our weak links are.
Ba is not a LM, Guti only good cover at DM and Simmo/Willo barely bench warmers.
The manner of the performance upsets me more than the defeat so I hope we regroup and give Chelsea a good game.
Horrible day considering the week of cloud bursting talk we have had about CL. Terrible day for us all but I hope today will unite us more than it divides us. It showed us for what we are. A team with potential but at the moment too many holes to stay afloat for long enough to be classed as a great team.
Brought back down to Earth with pure garbage is the nufc way and always has been. Maybe we get to far ahead of ourselves but I still believe we are close to brilliance.
Just need to keep sound what we’re doing and do some good business in the summer.

Santon did well today.
But our weaker links in other areas showed and Wigan capitalized.
Something they usually never do…

Comment #32To be fair, we hit the woodwork 3 times and Cisse missed an absolute sitter.
Attacking isn’t our problem, as Wigan play with 11 behind the ball and counter attack.
Defending though… well there was me thinking maybe Pardew had got them organised.

you have got one problem with that mate whowill you replace ba with because best and shola are the only two available and i would hate it if pardew put either of them in his place because if we then lost that game this blog will be filled with anti pardew anti best anti shola comments
i personally won’t be one of those who do it. but i would hate to see them get so much

Comment #38Santon; only decent player. HBA played well..
But I don’t want to see Demba Ba in a Newcastle kit again, absolutely uselss player, we’ve been carrying him for the last 10 games, where he’s done absolutely Jack… we’d be lucky to get £7.5m for him.
The only positive coming out of this game, is that it’s taken the pressure of us again, which could work to our advantage.
CL, very doubtful but ofcourse we still have a chance, Spurs need to start winning if they’re going to qualify.
