Newcastle Linked With Algerian Winger

Newcastle are again being linked with Sochaux’s winger Ryad Boudebouz, and the player has said he will be leaving the French club next summer, but we don’t think Newcastle need any wingers, and we wouldn’t put much credibility in this report from InsideFutb0l.

Ryad Boudebouz – Sochaux’s Algerian International

There was some news that Newcastle tried to sign this player at the end of the summer  transfer window, but we doubt we were after another winger last week, because we have more than enough of them on Tyneside, and a lot of them are from France too.

InsideFutbol has today confirmed that the footballer intends to leave his French club Sochaux next summer, and has become a little frustrated that his club have turned down a number offers for him from bigger clubs, said to include both Newcastle and Liverpool.

This is what Ryad said:

“I will stay at Sochaux, but of course, at the end of the season, I will leave.”

Ryad Boudebouz’s contract runs out next June, so he will become a free agent next summer, and Newcastle are always interested in good buys.

But we’d be surprised if Newcastle  bring in yet another winger with Ben Arfa, Jonas Gutierrez, Gabby Obertan, Sylvain Marveaux, Romain Amalfitano and Sammy Ameobi already on Newcastle’s books.

We’d like to see reports of Newcastle being interested in defenders and strikers.

22 year-old Boudebouz was born in France of Algerian parents, and played for the French Youth sides at U17 and U19 level,  before making his debut for Algeria in 2010, and he has played 13 times for his country.

What do you think?

I think we do need wingers personally, especially as only HBA has proven anything.
Jonas isnt a winger so dont add him to the list.
Sammy isnt ready for PL yet
Marveaux needs to play more than 8 games before he can be relied on.
Obertan, well lets just say he hasnt proved he is good enough yet and be kind.
Amalfitano hasnt even played on the wing for the first team.

So while there may be a lot of bodies there, there is only HBA who is proven to be good enough so if we can get another exciting winger in then go for it.

Then we can drop jonas into DM permanently. Only HBA can actually beat someone with skill and create goals in the PL from the players we have now, if he got injured we woud be in serious trouble…

Surprise, surprise, window just closed with a predictable failure to get experienced cover where its been needed for ages, expectations downgraded, hailed as a success by not losing players ,and, low and behold the speculation starts already for the next window.Groundhog day – spare me!!!

What i’m really interested in seeing this season is how all the players we were supposedly after for a long time who have joined different teams fair. E.g Maiga at West Ham, Mayuka at WBA, Butterfield at Norwich, Clyne at Southampton, Giroud at Arsenal etc.

Yea I am too, none of them have impressed me so far but the season is young… Didn’t Mayuka also go to Southampton?

Yeah you’re right about Mayuka. Clyne has been the best so far, but I think Giroud will come good as well.

I agree with JDdubai. I think we have room for a talented winger.

Ben Arfa’s not a true winger. He’s more of a withdrawn striker with freedom to roam and create.

Jonas: I’m convinced that Jonas will ultimately serve us best as a LB or holding midfielder in a 4-3-3 or a 4-2-3-1.

Sammy Ameobi: I think that boy will grow into a striker.

That leaves Obertan, Marveaux, Amalfitano and maybe Ferguson as true wide midfielders. That’s definitely a group that can be added to.

Just watched some videos of this guy, he’s a very skilled dribbler and nutmegs the hell out of defenders. Apparently he’s a set piece specialist and good crosser which would make sense why we are targeting him.

I do enjoy the attention we’re putting on technically gifted players, rather than brutes that just lump the ball forward.

But he plays in Ben Arfa’s right winger role. If he can replace Jonas on the left side then I say pick him up!

…but the transfer window just shot and there is another 5 months until it opens again 😉 so easy now lol

Lets see where we are come january.

By the way with Colo out injured, who had hoped we would have signed another CB 😉

I hope this stops at some point haha! I hate this crap! And thru the window was bad enough! Respect tho Ed, your jus puttin up what you hear!

We could do with a winger actually, apart from marveaux who seems accomplished we have nowt. Obers is a work in progress, I don’t class benny as a winger, jonest jonas is a defensive work horse, fergie and sammy are works in progress. So aye, a winger would be good, a la valencia

For those looking for a footy fix this weekend a Toon X1 are playing
@ Berwick on Friday with 7.45 ko. £8 admittance. Great chance to
see a number of our rising stars and side led by Peter Beardsley and Donachie.

Jesper- my brother who’s London based watched Clyne at Palace last season. He actually wrote to Pardew before the January window saying
what a class act he was. He got a polite letter back saying that we had our scouts out scouring home and abroad for talent. You could argue that to bring in Clyne your potentially closing the door on the likes of Tavernier.

What a beautiful morning. How are my fellow toon fans?

    Quick thread update:

Colo Injured – Staying with squad, so it would appear not so bad at the minute. let’s hope they don’t aggravate things further. At the minute though, let’s save the panic and doom (and told you so’s – even though they must make you feel very clever and special and give you a nice warm feeling inside).

Sunderland Road Sign – Must be fake, but bravo! *applauds*

Josh & The Ferry – *Applauds* Josh, not the ferry. Keep it up mate, doing a great job – i’d be in a pile crying by the side of a road (probably on the outskirts of London).

Transfers – Please don’t make me take my own life….pretty please, as least give us a week off 🙂

Ok, it’s a little slow, so I’ll argue with myself.

What a gloomy morning, I’ve just managed to crawl out of bed and face the world and see what rubbish it has in store for me.

    Quick update on threads:

Colo Injured – What a surprise. No doubt he’ll be out for the season. We knew we needed cover in but Ashley knew best. Cheap w*nk*r. Relegation battle for us.

Sunderland Road Signs – Should say “For ambition, go straight”.

Josh & the Ferry – Not going to try and put a negative slant on this one – Good lad 🙂

Transfers – Propaganda from the club no doubt. BUT WE DON’T NEED A WINGER. WE NEED A CB, FB & ST MINIMUM!!!

I’m doing well, how about you?

Quick question…what the hell happened with you, TDS and Tads? Seems to be some history there which I’ve missed. For what it’s worth, I find all three of you to be some of the better posters on here, which is why I’m confused by it.

For Ben arfa to play in a free role, another right winger maybe needed and with Jonas looking great on the wing. This bloke, ince or Nathan Dyer would do the job nicely.

Ibiza- I am in good spirits. Group of mates plan a Berwick trip on Friday evening to watch the reserves. Not a great England watcher so need a footy fix. On Tads and Tds- I have no problem with TDS chatted to him last week on news from my brother that Wenger had bid for Cabaye. Bro is London based. But Tads is a different kettle of fish he was abusive one Sunday and was instrumental in the Jimmy
Magpie nonsense. I read the posts back the following morning and thereafter said to Ruddy that he was blameless. Tads is a turf warrior who is often offensive and dismissive of younger posters ( like you and I) – he is selective in his behaviour depending on who’s on the site.
Fundamentally he’s a liar. Ruddy plays entertaining games there is a difference. I have some knowledge of behavioural patterns- trust me.
I hope this answers your question ? As in all things you must believe
what you think is so. Personally I judge people on the. Way they treat others as well. I thought this was a fans forum there should be a place
    for one and all.

no disrespect ed – but give us a break with the ” players we are looking at” topics . the fact is they are getting really boring , and no one hardly believes a word of it in any case. i am sure there must be be more factual events to write about other than players that are not coming. after the window closed most fans were dissapointed to say the least, lets not start again eh.

How can you not enjoy watching England? They’re rated 3rd in the world, are they not? 🙂

P.S. Only playing with you, England are always underwhelming and leave me frustrated. Do let me know how the reserves game goes.

Ben arfa should not play on the wing, he should play between Cisse and Ba slightly behind them and allowed to roam free.

It’s easy to put our strongest team.
our strongest squad now: 2 formations 4-1-2-1-2 and 4-2-3-1
    ————-
    4-1-2-1-2

    —————Krul—————–

    Santon—Saylor—Colo–Anita

    —————Tiote————-

    ——–Cabaye—-Jonas—

    —————Benny——

    ——–Cisse———–Ba–

    4-2-3-1

    ————-Krul—————-

    Santon–Saylor–Colo–Anita
