The following policies should be taken into consideration before commenting:
An update on my health situation - we have terminated the PluVicto treatment halfway through, because of the severity of the side effects - diarrhea, vomiting, and acid reflux.
And there was no evidence the treatment was having any positive effect in stopping the prostate cancer from spreading in the bones.
There are no treatments left for me to go on.I will go into home hospice care now and will have a hospice nurse visit me at home regularly to ensure I am as comfortable as possible and we will treat the side effects of the treatments I have had.
It's down the final stretch now, and I have run out of treatments, and nature will now take its course.
I hope Newcastle can get many wins this season from now on, and I am at peace with all of this.
Thanks for all your help through the years - it's very much appreciated

poorly, didn’t seem to be any connection between the midfield and forward line, i don’t think playing Bigi with Tiote helped but risks need to be taken sometimes

Comment #8We hardly made any chances and any fan who has watched our games this season would have been able to tell you that before KO.
Cisse and Ba dont work pick one pards you muppet.
Jonas is clearly not a LM anymore dm or bench.
Bigi and tiote are both defensive players and shouldnt be starting together unless holding out for a draw or something.
HBA is the only player who can create for us in the starting line up and once he is shut out we have nothing.
For me if HBA gets injured this season we will finish mid table at best.

they are spot on and i can’t see this changing until pardew drops jonas replacing him with ferguson because ATM HBA is the only one providing chances which teams will know now so basically they give lots of space to jonas know he is not a real threat and crowd HBA

Comment #11We need to be patient. Rome was never built in a day. We have come from the Championship to 5th in the Prem under Pardew’s great guidance. * more years of that sounds great to me. Not a good game but we got a draw. That is a team destined to win something. And Jonas played just fine. he never stops running. All he needs is a goal and then people will say he is a top player. Its amazing how fickle fans are.

Comment #12The only positive from that display was that we earned a point from Reading.
I remind you from READING –not Man Utd, not City, not Chelsea, not Arsenal.
How a midget (Hunt) can score with a header baffles me totally. A dire performance, and one which I think suggests trouble ahead. Did the great summer gamble of not paying a bit extra for a couple of first team defenders pay off –the evidence so far suggests it has not. I see the clubs’ argument in not “really” being interested in the Capital One Cup as the prize money for winning it is only £100,000. Why risk players in that competition when the rewards in the Premiership are so much higher ie Man. Utd. received about £60 million last season and Wolves received about £30 million –the amount
dependent on where you finish.(other considerations also apply which are beyond me). But basically the higher you finish the more money, I mean MILLIONS, you get in return. On todays’ performance
I see us finishing just above mid table, perhaps 7th or 8th –strengthening the team in the summer by
paying a few million more would have given us a better chance to finish higher up the league, and
earn those extra millions –which would have gone some way to pay for the extra costs incurred in the summer. Finishing, fifth or higher would indicate to potential signings Newcastle are a club on the up and a good place to be, on the other hand finishing below fifth would suggest the reverse.
Have good finances is commendable, however football does have risks, we will not progress without taking one or two risks. Progression by hoping that a whole lot of youngsters come through is risky, by the time we wait for that, the better players will be sickened and will have moved on to a club that may provide them with top football and medals.

Agreed, nice bit of realism there
Shame there is loads of kids or doomy people on here that don’t have any patience or sense of realism that for every good decision a manager makes there is another manager countering it, good managers don’t win everytime and the ones that do have superstar players with them to change games on a whim

Comment #16We need to understand that we can never win the league. Thats a given, unless some rich Russian or Arab buys the club. A Cup win would be nice but the Cups are pretty much devalued these days so lets be happy doing “well” in the league, beating the Mancs and Unwashed now and again and maybe getting in the Europa (Duffers) Cup and playing the juniors. Be happy with that you miserable lot

Comment #17Watched the first 40 mins or so on the pc then switched off, I can’t watch this dross anymore. It saddens me to say it but if I wasn’t a Geordie I wouldn’t be supporting the Toon. No desire whatsoever from most of the team. So Ashley told Pardew to “Win every week”? what a joke! If you’re all happy watching that crap then defend them all you like.

Comment #19Jonas didn’t have his best of games. I think Marveaux, Anita and Abeid should all start in the next game. I’d even be tempted to start Shane Ferguson. He has proved me wrong. Looks a decent old fashioned-type winger.

The youth pay off…

Comment #23TBF with Jonas, we always know where his strength lies.
Hardworking, some stability, get back to defends, like he did during the game to clear some real danger balls into the box.
As for this weakness, we all knows it was his crosses from day one. (and alittle lack of attacking threat that a typical Newcastle winger would normally do)
Just to clear some smoke (false statement make)
He got the yellow card because he dragged a player down as it got past him. While playing CM (in certain way taking it for the team)

Comment #24Ok Tooninspain, who the fcuk do you think you are telling people they must watch a game for 90 mins and not 40? it’s nob’eds like you that think you’re the only true supporters ‘cos you follow the team through thick and thin. I’ve got news for you, you arrogant tw*t – i’ve supported the toon for over 40 years and will continue to do so for another 40 years god willing, during that time i’ll watch a game for as long as I like and i’ll switch off if it gets too frustrating to watch it, that is MY choice not yours or anyone elses. I certainly don’t need d*ckheads like you telling me what I can and can’t do so Butt out, which brings me to the final thing, it’s the “anal orrifices” that you speak of which are probably the cause of your p*ss boiling – it’s called a Urinary Tract Infection. Better stay away from the boyfriend til you get it seen to!

Comment #26tooninspain, you can’t expect to post an abusive comment about someone and their opinions and not expect a similar reply. Since when was telling someone to kcuf off a piece of criticism? your tit for tat reply to my last post obviously shows your lack of intelligence.
I know what it is, you’re a regular poster on here and you think you own the place – nobody but you is allowed an opinion. You started whinging about the name that I use on here then went on to hurl insults like little girl name calling and telling someone to kcuf off. What a sad little man you must be, you just couldn’t accept that someone had an opinion that differed from yours. I have 1 question though if you have it in you to offer a respectful reply, do you really live in Spain? just curious – need to know what bus to catch from Broadmoor.

Comment #28F U Ashley……I’m not a regular poster, but I am a regular reader of posts. I only ever post when something “encourages” me. Your negative post succeeded. Congratulations. If every supporter was like you, the ground would be empty at half-time at most games. Thank God they aren’t. Tell me, oh wise one, where did you watch our classic 4-4 match with Arsenal, and when did you either switch off your internet connection or leave the ground ? You see, most of us support through thick and thin……not because we’re inferior to people like you, but because we feel we can make a difference by being there. Perhaps YOU could answer a question by explaining why you post as F.U A? By the way, you may think you qualify for a medal by supporting the team for 40 years…..I’ve been a supporter for over 50 years and have seen a damned sight more crap served up than you, but I’ve NEVER left a game after 40 mins. If you were to put as much energy into supporting the team as you do to posting on forums, then you would move from being a fair-weather supporter to a genuine one. Goodnight junior…..you’re wasting my valuable time

Comment #29I watched the 4-4 game from my season ticket seat in the stands and was still there until all the players had left the pitch at the end of the game and we had a right royal p*iss up afterwards. As far as the user name goes it was chosen quite some time ago when things weren’t going quite to plan with Ashley (my feelings towards his way of doing things have since improved slightly but I was already registered to use the blog so there was no real need to change the user name). Anyway what does it matter to you what name people use on here? are you the blog police or something? ok so you’ve supported the team for 10 years longer than me, is your dad also bigger than my dad? how childish are you? also for your information i’ve never left a game before the final whistle, the only time i’ve ever left before the end of proceedings was when Keegan left in the Helicopter after the Liverpool game as I had to urgently be somewhere – even then I stayed until the final whistle so don’t go on about fair weather fans cos you know absolutely nothing about me or anyone else who posts on here. I haven’t been able to go to any away games so far this season for personal reasons and hate watching us play live on tv (or pc). At the end of the day I posted an honest comment on here which concerned my frustrations with the current style of play which most fans would agree is quite boring to watch (at least so far this season), you replied in an agressive manner which for someone who is in their fifties and should know better was quite uncalled for. Do you tell everyone on here who posts a comment that you don’t like to kcuf off? — No you probably don’t. Do you criticise everyones choice of user name? — again No you probably don’t do that either so why do you think it is ok to do those thing to me? What have I ever done to you? I’ve never had a problem with you or anyone on here until your reply which you must now realise was over the top and totally out of order.
Seriously though if this is wasting your valuable time then stop replying.

Comment #39F.U…….sorry but some of us have lives to lead . I’m just in from lunch with a group of Spanish friends, and have been looking forward to reading your pearls of wisdom, hence the delay in replying. I’m sadly disappointed in your riposte. However, don’t despair as I have an idea as to how to end this impasse and allow you to save face. I know a guy over here who has a window cleaning company, and wishes to return to the UK….(don’t worry, I’ve warned him about people like you). I could put a word in for you enabling you to take over the business. Just think, not only could you be your own man, but you could lick as many windows as you like, AND get paid for it.
