The story doing the rounds on the Internet this morning is that Newcastle have agreed to sign Toulouse French International midfielder Moussa Sissoko, who stands 6’2″ tall and whose box to box midfield play has been compared to that of former Arsenal player Patrick Vieira.
Newcastle singing Moussa Sissoko – it’s news to me said Alan Pardew
It’s a good story if true, but unfortunately the Newcastle manager Alan Pardew has said “it’s news to me” when he was asked about Newcastle signing Sissoko.
There he goes – spoiling things again. đ
Sissoko is only 23 and is in the last year of his contract at Toulouse, a club he joined in 2003, and of course he would be available on a free next summer.
The 5 times capped French international has had Newcastle linked with him now for about a year and a half, and maybe Newcastle could still tie up the Frenchman next summer?
And of course if Newcastle had agreed a deal to take the Frenchman in the summer,  Alan Pardew would hardly be fessing up to that now.
But it would need to be like the deal that brought Xisco to Newcastle over four years ago, when the Newcastle manager Kevin Keegan at the time knew nothing at all about the deal or about the player, although Dennis Wise paid Kevin the courtesy of giving him a YouTube video of the player in action.
Unfortunately the ÂŁ5.7M signing has not been a success on Tyneside, and the 26 year-old is now in the last year of his five-year deal, and has appeared only 11 times for the Newcastle first team.
Moussa Sissoko played the whole game for Toulouse at the weekend as they ran out fairly comfortable 3-1 winners against Brest, in front of over 30,000 at the Stadium Municipal.
It was such a good story about the lad coming to Newcastle too.

Comment #2Repost as Ed was sly –
My problem with the blog is that some individuals think that if another poster doesnt comply with how a supporter is supposed to behave his opinion is worthless.
If certain posters are pointing out that the football is shit and has been for some time they are telling the truth, if people are concerned with how Pardew is setting up his team, is this not fair? Is it negative to question or is it the questioning that drives the team to better performance.
Wonder if Pardew is currently posing some serious questions to himself as he knows we have been rubbish this year, the answer is yes im sure he is, lets hope he shakes the team up and brings in some fresh ideas.
I unfortunately dont hold out much hope.
Pardews oredictable Team against Liverpool, 442.
Krul
Simmo Willo Collo Santon
Ben Arfa Perch Cabaye Jonas
Shola Ba/Cisse
You know it will happen, and as far as i am concerned this selection is the true definition of Madness.
I called the game yesterday and got pelters for it, it is like Groundhog Game currently. The teams progress is stunted by Pardews reluctance to take the handbrake off. Arrogant Smarmy tit.
