Top Swedish Youngster Not Impressed With Newcastle

Not much is going right for Newcastle at the moment, and some bad publicity for the club today and it’s from 15 year-old Landskrona youngster Erik Andersson, who is about to reject any offer from Newcastle, following his trial on Tyneside.

Erik Andersson

15 year-old Erik Andersson – to reject Newcastle

The 15 year-old recently had a trial at Newcastle and also at Italian giants Juventus, and it seems he wasn’t too impressed with us, and he will stay in Sweden at Landskrona BoIS – a Swedish club located in Landskrona, which currently plays in the second highest league in Swedish football.

Of course he may not even get an offer from either club, and Newcastle have said they were unwilling to sign players under 18 at Newcastle, given our distinct lack of success with those youngsters over the last four years or so.

Apparently the lad has great potential, and hence his trials at some top clubs, but he feels moving to a big club may not be in his best interests and he seems ready to stay at Landskrona, as he told Fotbollsdirekt.se:

“I have had a very good season,” “I believe I will progress more if I stay at home.”

But the youngster was not too impressed with his trial at Newcastle and he continued:

“Newcastle didn’t talk to me, it was a bit strange.” “It was much more fun at Juventus, with better football and nicer players.”

Maybe they didn’t talk to him because our lads were probably becoming extremely worried about our league form, but this doesn’t look too good for us when it makes the English press.

My January targets. Moussa Sissoko, Loic Remy and a fast and strong center back. Remy would be a wonder in a 4-3-3 with his skills and flair

Pardew said yesterday that he would look to add one player in the New Year – an understandably conservative statement from the United boss, who will not want to over-inflate expectations in January.

But The Journal understands that the club’s ideal scenario is to recruit at least one defender and a striker in the New Year, while moving several fringe players out of the club.

move out fringe players? we are already selling ba we cant move any one else on whos to say we will even buy more than 1 player we want to be expanding our squad

What riles about the Ba situation is behaviour like this is never tolerated at the big clubs. If a player made these comments at Man U, Ferguson would drop them immediately. We don’t have that luxury but show a bit of professionalism Demba! Fari enough if you want to leave but there’s ways of doing Cesc leaving Arsenal for Barca was a model way to do it, graceful and thankful to what Arsenal had done for him.

This lad sounds like someone we don’t want. Lots of mouth and nowt much else.

Hope he enjoys himself in that hotbed of world famous football that is the second division in Sweden.

Erik Andersson is one of those jumped up youngsters who thinks more highly of themselves than anybody else thinks of them.
Speaks for itself when he says he would learn more at his current club than here or at juve. Wouldn’t read too much into this – out rep isn’t going to be damaged by somebody like this. He’s not a wonderkid or anything like how he’s been portrayed ! Relax ed !

On Ba – I say either come out and say you want to leave or sign a new deal. The former won’t happen as Ba doesn’t want to commit to that – then have nobody come in with an appropriate offer/wages etc, or fail a medical and then be ‘stuck’ with us. I think we will sign Loic Remy and trust me on this – he is a VERY good player, tricky, skilful and more than happy out wide. Then Ba doesn’t have us over a barrel – we can drop him should he carry on like this – and aren’t as desperate to keep him. I think we need 3 top strikers but nobody who doesn’t want to be here deserves to wear the black and white.

    Carter,
This five year plan malarky sounds good in theory but I believe it is getting made up week by week if not on a daily basis.

NUFCarter – wouldn’t read too much into what the journal writes mate! Full of crap that paper!

I remember when Pards said we definitely WOULDN’T sign a striker last January – and up popped Cissé ! So pinches of salt needed with Pardews statements. We as a club have always said if the right player becomes available at the right price we will bring them in. £10m for Remy is a bargain and as he isn’t getting too much joy with Marseilles so I believe this is more than paper talk. Maybe the price for ‘he who shalt not be named has come down’ since the World Cup fever around him has died down and Lille are out of Europe.

lets be honest if you had the world at your feet and could probably pick a club would you pick newcastle- 1 wouldnt . and im from walker, not sweden.

BA is correct in what he says regarding our poor , boring football its not good , i can imagine a lot of players being put off by it , and i also think he wont be the only on his travels come jan, however ,there are proper ways to conduct yourself in these situations.
If it is true what ba said , then he is tapping arsenal up for a move, that is totally out of order. if a club done that or an agent( who i am sure are involved in the interview) they would get done. BA has IMO got no respect for the club or supporters , who have made him into a hero, if he wants to leave, he only has to say.
as for new players coming in, 1 at most i understand , is not enough given our plight at present he wont save us. the football has to change, tactics, the way pards approaches games, there is so much needs to change just to give us a hope of staying up- i struggle to see how so much can improve enough in 4 month, improve from players right up to the dictators who sadly run our club, to keep us up. QPR is going to be our biggest game since the last time we got relagated- our biggest because i believe lose that game , then start preparing for the fizzy league again, sat urday could be the biggest 3 points of our season, lets hope we get them.
