An update on my health situation - we have terminated the PluVicto treatment halfway through, because of the severity of the side effects - diarrhea, vomiting, and acid reflux.
And there was no evidence the treatment was having any positive effect in stopping the prostate cancer from spreading in the bones.
There are no treatments left for me to go on.I will go into home hospice care now and will have a hospice nurse visit me at home regularly to ensure I am as comfortable as possible and we will treat the side effects of the treatments I have had.
It's down the final stretch now, and I have run out of treatments, and nature will now take its course.
I hope Newcastle can get many wins this season from now on, and I am at peace with all of this.
Thanks for all your help through the years - it's very much appreciated

But Goofy has never been a regular scorer. Even in France he only scored about 1 in 4. I prefer Remy coming from deep with his pace and if only Cisse was on form it would be potent to say the least. That’s why we really needed a top striker in the summer.

Comment #4Cisse was dropped you muppets! If the club wrote off players as quickly and easily as you do then we wouldn’t have any players! People wanted to sell Tiote for about £3M over the summer yet look at him now! People wanted shot of Debuchy too and he’s looking decent now.

That 1 in 4 is a hell of a lot more than Cisse is offering at the moment and has offered for a very long time.
The problem has existed for almost a year and we’ve done nothing about it, but leaving Remy on the bench was criminal, we could have and really should have won that game

Comment #8And not a surprise that top class Man City subs were able to exploit a tiring defence. Don’t be so harsh.

Comment #13I never believe myself cisse was good in the first place.
most them goals he scored in his first year at the club were just wonder goals.
our two CF shouldhave been carroll and ba but what does cashley do sells them off and doesn’t replace them.
knowing how long it takes for players to adapt I am so glad that we did get remy even if it was on loan.

Makes me wonder how fit Remy was. I’m confused why they brought on Cabaye instead of Remy. To control the midfield more perhaps?
Anyway…Cisse got into some very good positions but is just lacking confidence. He just needs a good goal or two and he could be firing again. It would be premature to consign him to the dustbin when he’s got such a good scoring record in his career.

I think with dummett he was getting lots of pressure put at him and I think he had a drop in confidience after the scums game.
he was only on be cause hadaira was injured.

Definitely! It wouldn’t be a problem if Cisse was on form but it was bound to be shown up as soon as Cisse was injured or wasn’t scoring. We’d be doing so much better if we had an on form number 9!
It’s great when Ashley plays hardball and gets great deals but damn annoying when we have a cracking squad bar one key player…

Cabaye came on as it’s Pardew natural reaction to go with a more defensive approach. We were on top in the game and he reverted to a five man midfield with two holding and just one up front. From that point on we were on the back foot and end up losing another game we could have won if he had just shown more intent to win the game instead of stopping City

well you tell me why pardew should be blamed when it’s fcuken clear that we need to get cisse scoring.
fcuken manages will have no effect on a forward who still is missing easy chances.
ameobi if he started every week you would be a moaning git.
so who does that leave
remy goufran and cisse.
but if remy even got suspended or injured then we have no good forward.
that is not a manager that is a fcuken owner who was a greedy git for not bring in more CFs.

The problem is when players tire, gaps start to appear so sometimes having more in midfield can provide more flexibility in more attack and defence. Cabaye is very good at unlocking these gaps but we needed an on form goal scorer.
It’s just not good enough to only have Remy.

Agree but it doesn’t help that Pellegrini’s first thought was how to win the game and Pardews was how to close City out of the game. We had the momentum and threw it away and it has to be heart breaking for the players who put everything into that game to walk away with nothing.

Comment #25@stuart no9 , no it’s not Pardew, i don’t really blame him lately. We’ve been playing good, just need someone to put away those chances.
We seem very unlucky….we’re being punished very harshly for every mistake we make , but on the other end have no one to capitalize on our chances.
Really need Remy to go on a scoring run. Play him with Shola.
