This Newcastle Youngster Is Special – Great Future Ahead Of Him?

18 year-old lanky defender Lubomir Satka was signed from Dubnica two years ago, and he’s so far has had a good two years on Tyneside, and in this pre-season he has been training with the first team and has looked very solid when given an outing in the first team by manager Alan Pardew.

Lubo Satka – very promising young player

Alan Pardew compared the youngster earlier this year with a young Fabricio Coloccini , and we certainly need to bring some of our current crop of  young players – like Lubo, Adam Armstrong and Rolando Aarons – to name just three – through to the first team as soon as we can.

Lubo is certainly enjoying his first team experience in this pre-season, and this is what he told the Shields Gazette yesterday when reminded of the comparison to a young Fabricio Coloccini:

“It’s good when the manager talks about you like that,” “I’m looking up to Colo, because he’s a great player and the captain. Hopefully, I can learn from him.”

“Last season was good for me, and this year I have started with the first team,” “I’ve got to train harder, and hopefully stay involved. We’ll see how it goes.”

“I’m enjoying being with the first team every day and travelling with them. I’m getting game time as well, so it’s good so far.”

The 18 year-old has already been capped by Slovakia at the U21 level, and there are high hopes that this lad can come through to the first team – maybe even this season – and have a great Newcastle career ahead of him.

Lubo can play at both right back and center-back, and ever since he arrived on Tyneside, he has played in the U21 side and has been very impressive.

We hope this young Slovakian can take advantage of the first team games he is getting in pre-season, and even start to push for a first team place this season.

Lubo is as good as that already.

    Janmaat – Williamson – Coloccini – Haidara
    Tiote – Colback
    Sissoko – Anita – Cabella

Pardew needs to start playing with a formation that he intends to start the season with and as many of the players he expects to start. At the moment he is only missing De Jong. I have selected Reviere but on form and experience Gouffran is better.

It just seems it’s the same each season.

We are close to the first game of the season and the whole team haven’t ready trained or played together.

We are trying out new stuff (without the players needed) and we haven’t really sorted out our problems up front and we still need at physical CB.

I have a feeling AP might just keep SdJ and Cabella on ice until the prem kicks off.
Cabella seems the type of player who plays as well as the players around him so it’s pointless risking an injury playing alongside dross
WTF was the Quest commentator doing with the pronunciation of Cabella’s name – I thought he was saying Cabaye the 1st couple of times.

The World Cup is largely to blame for that this year. It is a problem a lot of teams are facing. Reports on the Beeb say RvP will miss Man U’s first few games. There isn’t really a huge amount the club can do. Hopefully now everyone is back then we can start to get them working together in preparation. Certainly isn’t ideal, but it is the product of circumstances out of our control. The alternative is to sign lesser players who aren’t good enough for the World Cup.

As for the striker and centre half issue, they are big concerns. I haven’t seen anything of this Chucky lad, but hopefully he will give us what we need up there. The defence on the other hand looks no nearer to being shored up than it did when we were promoted.

Well sorry to be prt of the `some on here` majority but if you cant see that Pardew is advertising that he intends to use the same approach as always, then you are deluding yourselves. I have no doubt the quality of the players will shoveus through the mid table barrier again, but Pardew will always be the guy driving a porsche with the handbrake on. Thats my issue with him, not some meaningless defeat or lacklustre display by fringe players in a nothing tournament, its the intent behindhis playing `style` – heavily dated English clogging game with no urgency in closing down, no quick and decisive passing or use of space, no creativity going forward from midfield, no organisation at the back. Highly inneffective, highly readable and prone to implosion.

There’s been a lot of name calling on here from certain keyboard warriors, who think if they shout the loudest that makes them right!

I think we just wanted to see a new dawn with AP’s much vaunted new style, whatever that may be. Does he know himself.

Everyone knows it was a friendly, but all we saw was a continuation of last season. Exactly the same tactics.

Basically just hope for something. No method, no imposing ourselves on the opposition and 2 CBs (Pardew favourites) who shouldn’t be here
and a manager pointing fingers at 2 youngsters.
    Same old, same old.

Don,t know why Colback is in the team ahead of Gouffy.
He,s just a squad player at best for me,
    My team would be
    Janmaat Wilko Colo Haidara

    Sissoko De jong Tiote Cabella

    Riviere Gouffran

It does,nt have to be that formation, im sure we could make a winning team out of that lot.
