Newcastle lost again at the Britannia Stadium by 1-0 to a decent Stoke side, but if Newcastle had more players with an eye for goal we could have done a lot better.
Mike Ashley – has a decision to make
Newcastle’s weakness is the same as it was last season, so it’s a pity we haven’t replaced Loic Remy, and Graham Carr will need to scout some strikers that we can bring in during the January transfer window.
Newcastle are second bottom of the league with just 3 points from 6 games, and we will wait to see if Mike Ashley takes any action on Alan Pardew’s position at Newcastle.
He had said last Thursday night outside a pub in Soho that Pardew would be fired if we lost – but then he got his layers the next day to say he was only joking.
We’ll soon know if he was only joking.
In the last 26 league games we have taken only 19 points form the 78 available. 🙁

To me he sounded like someone who wasn’t scared of the sack.
Hopefully the lipreaders on the blog were right about Ashley

Comment #18I voted for obertan. He did more in 20 mins than goufran, cabella and sissokho did all match.
I thought sissokho was especially bad tonight, thats probably the worst I’ve seen him play for us. For a big guy he doesn’t put himself about.

Comment #19In that post match interview Pardew has the haunted look of a dead man walking. He needs to go now – I’m starting to feel sorry for him the way Ashley has left him out high & dry. Does anyone else think Ashley’s ‘joke’ was an attempt to pile even more pressure on Pardew, make him quit & save a few mill in the process? In this mini war between Jabba & The Inept One I’m starting to gain a little begrudging respect for Pardew’s ability to take this. I’m guessing he’ll be gone in the morning with a few quid in his pocket and some ‘mutual agreement’ bollox. Then again who knows with Ashley – I wouldnt put it past him to carry on until Pardew dops dead with a heart attack

Comment #20Who is the 1% voting for Goofy!
Jesus Christ, for a gambling man, Pardew didn´t exactly put his chips on a win, why the hell only go with one striker against their big, imposing, organised defense?
NUMPTY!
It was there to be won, should of taken Gouffran off an put Cisse on.
