England scouts were at Blackburn on Monday night, and it’s thought they were watching Newcastle’s new emerging star player – Callum Roberts – and they would have seen Callum score in Newcastle U21 side’s 3-1 win over Blackburn Rovers.

Callum was rewarded for his good form for the U21 side this season with a place in the first team squad for the home game against QPR, so he could experience what it’s like in the first team on a game day.
Alan Pardew talked about the promising youngster at that time:
“I do like him.” “He has tremendous technique and ability – he’s knocking on the door.”
It’s expected that Roberts could get a call-up for the England U-18 side for their next International next year.
Newcastle are now two points clear of Arsenal with 22 points form their 9 game s at the top of the U21 21 Premier League Division Two.
Callum has been at Newcastle since he was eight, and he attended Churchill Community College and played for Whitley Bay Sproggs.
The 17 year-old is a huge fan of Lionel Messi, one of the world’s best players for a number of years, and he regularly watches videos of the Barcelona player.
Roberts is also a big fan of Cristiano Ronaldo, and he tries to replicate the skills of both of the world’s top players.
There’s nothing wrong with that!
