Jonas Gutierrez has been in training almost tow weeks now at Newcastle, after he successfully fought against his testicular cancer after chemotherapy treatment and surgery, and he will play his first game on Monday for the Newcastle U21 side against West Ham at Whitley Park.
Jonas Gutierrez – will play on Monday night
Jonas Gutierrez has slowly but surely built up his strength and fitness at Benton over the last couple of weeks, and the news is the 31 year-old 22 times capped Argentine International is ready to play on Monday.
Yesterday in his press conference, Alan Pardew talked about Jonas:
“We haven’t been around Jonas much this week because we were at Tottenham, but he’s fine,” “It’s great to have him back.”
“I had a quick chat with him and he’s going to play against West Ham on Monday in the reserves. That’s his first game for a while, but he’s obviously done a lot of running and has been looking after himself.
“He had trained with a team in Argentina with a football, but is still a bit rusty with it, but that will come. It will be great for everyone to have him back and good for everyone to see him back in a Newcastle shirt. It will be good if a few of our fans want to travel to the game on Monday.”
Jonas has so far played 194 times for Newcastle with 11 goals, and we are all hoping he can make a successful return to football and will play again for the Newcastle first team – soon.
Gutierrez last appearance for the Newcastle first team was in October of last year, and there will be a video message from the Argentine played on the big screen prior to tomorrow’s Newcastle Sunderland derby game.
Hopefully that will inspire our players even more, if they still need to some inspiration to win the game tomorrow.
The game is at Whitley Park on Monday afternoon with a 1:00 pm kick-off time.
It will be great to see Jonas back playing again in a Newcastle United shirt.

Losing tomorrow is simply not an option, it’s ok for Pardew, when his mediocre reign is over, he’ll ferk off back to Surrey or wherever he came from a very wealthy man, we’ll be putting up with shite for the rest of our lives.

Comment #3Trying to look at it as objectively as I can, which I always struggle to do with this game.. and my feeling is we won’t lose it. I reckon it’ll most likely be a tight low scoring win for us. But Pardew has a big say in it of course with the key being the set up. Wish I knew Abeid’s real fitness status? I’m a bit scared that Williamson will play again. Pardew will be worried about the hapless altidore and Fletcher muscling us and mistakenly thinking willo is the one to combat that. We have to attack them and get them on the back foot, which I have to agree we rarely do

I am expecting willo to start no need to play him against spurs after the hiding at arsenal but yet put him in there and made the defence unbalanced and basically pants
