There is news in the Chronicle today that Newcastle are tracking 20 year-old Polish International striker Arkadiusz Milik.
Arkadiusz Milik – 20 year-old Polish striker
Milik signed on at German club Bayer Leverkusen in December of 2012 for around £2M, on a contract that runs through the summer of 2018, and he is on loan at Ajax for the full season, and the Dutch club have an option to buy him in the summer.
Newcastle Chief Scout Graham Carr watched Ajax’s 2-0 win over Groningen last weekend, and there were said to be a number of Premier League clubs looking at the 6’1″ striker, who was born in Tychy in southern Poland.
Newcastle do need to bring at least one new striker through the door this summer, so maybe the 14 times capped Polish International (6 goals) is one of our targets?
While playing in the Bundesliga for Beyer Leverkusen, he appeared eight times in the 2012-2013 season before going on loan to FC Augsburg .
But in Holland this season, he has done very well and in 16 appearances he has scored 17 goals.
Milik has played for all the Polish Youth sides and he made his full International debut for the Poland national side against South Africa in October of 2012 – when he was 18.
Arkadiusz seems a decent player and he could be a top target for Newcastle this summer, but if continues his goal-scoring form in Holland for the rest of the season, the Magpies could face some stiff competition for his signature.
Maybe we could get him if Ajax head coach Frank de Boer becomes the Newcastle head coach in the summer?
What do you think?

Comment #4170 Two Pretty sure they would still be classed as owned by MA. I think long term he will be looking to move on from us and take over Rangers but I can`t see him being able to pull a flanker on the ownership of Rangers at the same time as us with the media spotlight firmly turned on him

Directorships are directorships, controlling influences, and the rules about club ownership refer to ownership or effective control.

I am sorry I may have misdirected you with my initial mention of possible bankruptcy of Beta. My theory is suggesting that the subsidiary companies are in order to separate NUFC and Ashley from the potential purchase of Rangers. Creating a legal buffer that he retains decision making ability with the appearance of non-ownership, which is the SFA requirement. Which secures the ability of SD to screw the club for all the money it can (much like NUFC).

See my post four before yours re ownerships, directorships and control.
As you say, we’ll have to wait and see – he’s got bigger legal brains available to him than the likes of us could ever afford.

…these days “can we move one” doesn’t mean what it use to mean 😉 lol
But when there is nothing to talk about on here it tends to get up close and personal (I bet he can even justified it in his own mind…just like the breezebloke incidence)
Nah well…lets move on shall we

Comment #5370TWO @ Average_Contents – We may not fully grasp all the ‘accountancy magic’ but it may well be some cunning way to own NUFC & Rangers at the same time. Otherwise I really cannot see why he would have bothered forming alpha & beta after all these years of MASH holdings.

Comment #55Alexandre Pato has apparently been offered to QPR on the cheap. He has lost his way in recent times after being tipped as a future star whilst at AC Milan. Would he be worth a punt to reignite our season?

Comment #56Surely if MASH Alpha and Beta are subsidiaries owned by MASH holdings, which in turn is owned by MA that would be what counted? I may be wrong mind, and stand to be corrected.

Comment #57I’m not too bothered about the rangers stuff. IF he wants one club or the other he will do that, if he wants both then I’m sure he’ll have some very clever accountants and lawyers find a way around it.

Well I don’t imagine he can spend much less so I’m not too worried. Just got to get through his reign until he eventually leaves and hopefully we get somebody to restore some pride and passion into the team and city, even if he doesn’t have much money.

Why she had to go I don’t know she wouldn’t say
I said something wrong, now I long for yesterday
Yesterday, love was such an easy game to play
Now I need a place to hide away

Well, they still need to be able to buy the club in the first place, but within reason 🙂

Comment #70Now clap your hands and tap your feet!!
A light shone in the night somewhere ahead
Blue turned into green, then it was red.
And, stirring the night, loud music played
The light I saw in the night was a penny arcade.
“Step up and play,” each machine seemed to say
As I walked round and round the penny arcade.
“Just ring the bell on the big bagatelle
And you’ll make all the coloured lights cascade.”
And music played in the penny arcade.
Yes, it played and it played, played all the time
“Roll up and spend your last dime!”
At first I thought it a dream that I was in.
Lost , lost in a sea of glass and tin.
But no, so dipping my hand in the back of my jeans,
I grabbed a handful of coins to feed the machines.
“Step up and play,” each machine seemed to say
As I walked round and round the penny arcade.
“Just ring the bell on the big bagatelle
And you’ll make all the coloured lights cascade.”
“Step up and play,” each machine seemed to say

“Just ring the bell on the big bagatelle

Comment #75I think it is a little more simple than that.
Who owns Mash Alpha? Mash Holdings
Who owns Mash Beta? Mash Holdings
Who owns Mash Holdings? Mike Ashley
The is no getting away from it, He would have to sell either Alpha or Beta and have no controlling stake in it, but then he would not own one of the clubs.
Mike Ashley cannot hold majority shares in both clubs. He can have all the fancy law firms he likes working for him, but so will the SFA and UAFA.

love that song, and its the right song for our situation 🙂
yes , I did, and one thing I wanted to bring up with you is the commitment levels from the players, I don’t think we have had many games where they have shown US the fans that they where 100% behind him, and yet you think he was average,
he had 1 or 2 players like big mike that would run all day , but out proper footballers weren’t behind him,
he relied on to many games were 1 player would save his bacon, he never really made it a team game for us,
but your entitled to your opinion 🙂 of cores 😉
