Newcastle certainly like unloading players in January, and Davide Santon has moved on loan to Inter-Milan with an option for the Italian club to make the deal permanent at the end of the season, and his girlfriend Chloe Sanderson has taken a swipe at Newcastle by saying they are ruining the club because they are only interested in profits and not the players.
Chloe may be close to the truth there.
Gael Bigirimana may join Rangers on loan
The three youngsters who may leave on loan today to Rangers FC – that’s Mike Ashley’s other club – are said to be Gael Bigirimana, Kevin Mbabu and Haris Vuckic, to strengthen the Rangers squad.
Rangers are a massive 16 points behind leaders Hearts in the Championship, but the 2nd, 3rd and 4th placed sides in the Championship are in a play off with the 11th placed team (2nd bottom) of the Scottish Premier League, to see which club gets the second vacant spot in Scotland’s top division.
So there’s still hope that Rangers will be in the Premier League next season, and a chance to get back into Europe again, which we assume to be the main reason for Ashley’s interest in the famous Scottish club.
It wouldn’t surprise us one little but if all three players move out on loan today, but they better take their winter woollies with them.
If Mike Ashley continues his interest and investment in Rangers FC, and is allowed to do that by the Scottish FA, we suppose we could see players moving between the two clubs in the future.
So this is the first of those deals, with three young Newcastle players potentially moving north of the border for the rest of the season.
We don’t know if this is good or bad.

Comment #1Lads I agree most of what’s been bought wouldn’t get a game here however what is a worry is that the club’s below us are strengthening, we’ve just made ourselves weaker

I agree may, she not only spoke as his partner but as a fan as well. The deal makes no sense, no doubt we think Anita can cover at RB along with Raylor and Colback can cover at LB if things get desperate.
It’s unbelievable that some staunch supporters of this regime say that he wasn’t wanted so good riddance, he was told he wouldn’t play for us again this season so is forced out.

Comment #16What is the record for most departures on one transfer day?
That said, all three of these lads could get in good work leading up to next season. Even if Newcastle adsorb their wages, they could come back better players, and have a higher selling on value.

Comment #17Santons girlfriend is getting a bit hysterical, if the twitter comments are accurate. It would be more prudent to hold on to him – for now – but we have three players who can do a BETTER job at left back. So unless all get injured, we get away with it. I have said from week 1 that Santon was badly overrated, and i never saw anything to change my mind. He would have been a better right midfielder than left full back IMO , but he came to us as a left back and thats where he wanted to be. New Maldini ? Yeah right. I wud imagine that the fee has been agreed already pending successful loan and Fats is getting excited re the cash. My annoyamnce is not re selling Santon, its how we wont spend the proceeds. Ashley is just going to stockpile the cash with a view to selling a cash rich, attractive club. And sadly, I dont think Carver will have to be brilliant to get the job. If he improved on Pardew this year ( mid table , flest we forget, for all his annoying faults ) he will get it. No compensation to Stone , Carver and Co. No compensation to another club for their coaches. I just hope some of these coaching teams are properly out of contract in the summer.

Comment #21Santon`s injury record is awful, remember he came here with a big injury, i do believe the lad h has been shoved though, that said he was full of huff and puff, no real end product, a failed winger imo, not a very clever defender either.

Comment #23Due to our numbers in defence it is better to keep Santon until the summer.
But his missus’ reaction is similar no doubt to any footballer who is sold against his wishes, happens all the time, only difference is they keep their mouth shut.
Its the one position we have cover in tbh, if we sold him and used the money to buy a CB then it is a good deal, obvs selling with no replacement is as useful as the 1st R in February.

Det Danmark internationalt er blevet overvåget af Toon chef scout Graham Carr denne sæson.
Newcastle har gjort forespørgsler til Wass, som var tæt på at slutte Schalke i sidste uge.
Wass var forbundet med Manchester United før jul.
Jesper what does this say
It says the Danish International has been scouted this season by Newcastle Chef scout Graham Carr.
Newcastle has made inquiry about Wass, who was close to secure a deal with Schalke last week.
Wass was linked with a move to Man Utd. just before Christmas.

Comment #29Just so I’m clear, our deadline day is as follows:
-Davide Santon off to Inter Milan after his lass strikes out at the club
-Four fringers due to be shuffled off on loan to Rangers
-Our annual search for a deadline day winger resumes, only to be told that we couldn’t quite get them over the line
Have I missed anything?

Comment #33I don’t see the problem with his wife venting her anger at the current circus. At least she’s got the ball’s to do it. I’d be pissed off too being shoved out the fcuking door against my wishes. It stinks as does everything at nufc since that fat slugs been in charge.
I’m not so much angry it’s Santon gone, it’s the fact we are short defensively anyway and in dire need of a quality CB and no replacement will be brought in for either Santon or mym. Just muddle along and survive. Shoddy way to run a football club. Penny pinching of the highest order.
Pisses me right off. Fat kunt.

What cat out of the bag? You didn’t know that the club (as others) will sell players for financial reasons even if the player wants to stay? You must have slept through all the Ashley transfer windows.
Not justifying the transfer at all because as a fan I want loads of players at the club and I like Santon – many don’t.
Missus is of course entitled to her opinion but as one has been moved around for work reasons (not welcome at times) I am glad that I had nothing but support from mine and no whinging

Comment #37Santons missus just a bit concerned her boy is about to be back in Milan with all those beautiful ladies i reckon, never mind flower think these pro footballers are generally loyal faithful sorts…..
Could be a funny link up with Rangers, could it have some benefit to the toon, playing out young lads in a competitive league, cherry picking there best young lads, whisking them away to the premier league, Rangers a feeder club for the toon maybe. Sure the Jocks would be over the moon with that possibility.
Newcastle Twinned with Galsgow Rangers….
Weird goings on, god knows what the reasons are for all this.

“Despite my remarks about him not finding his place…. Agreed with someone above re loyalty. This lad wanted to stay we should not have pushed him out.”
Same goes for Ben Arfa. Some people probably still believe Ben Arfa brought it all on himself.
Chopped from the squad, treated like a spare part, fined after coming back in the summer arguably over-weight, but still raring to go and fight for his place.
Oh well, Ben Arfa is all to blame for that one.

Comment #39Based on our activity in this window I’m very excited about the prospects of another mediocre season beginning next fall! Just think of it. A strong possibility we can finish between 10th and 14th again and go out of the cups early! It’s so exciting with Ashley in charge.
