Louis van Gaal – hopes for a good game and a win

The Red Devils are currently in a Champions league place in 4th position and this is what Louis has  said about the game tomorrow night:

“They always play with a very high rhythm, they want to give a lot of energy and the fans are supporting a lot.” “They want to play football – I like that. I hope it shall be a good game and we shall win.”

“I remember when we last played Newcastle the fantastic goal Wayne Rooney made after a fantastic counter.”  “I have seen it again, as always before a match, and I think we played well.”

“The win was well deserved – we could have scored more, but it is always like that.”

John Carver needs to try to win this game, and if he is to get the Newcastle job in the summer, then he has to put a lot more wins on the board than the two we have achieved since he took over from Alan Pardew after the home game against Everton last year.

A win would be terrific tomorrow night – for Newcastle that is. 😀

But John Carver’s smile soon disappears when he is informed by one member of the press pack that Newcastle have won just two of their past 24 matches against Manchester United. However, the Toon boss is taking inspiration from December 2013 – when Newcastle recorded their first win at Old Trafford since 1972.
“We’re confident,” he says resolutely. “Remember the sequence when we went to Old Trafford? Hadn’t won there for how long? Why not.”

    – because your shit and we know you are.

JC “But the principles are the same – they like to keep possession, work balls into wide areas and get the ball into box. But it takes longer because he likes to go from back to front. I can see why the fans get frustrated with it.”

    – do they also go quickly from front to back also?
