Newcastle Close To Announcing Locations For Summer Tour

There is some news out today, although it’s not on the Newcastle web-site, that Newcastle will be announcing the club will play Celtic in two pre-season friendlies in Boston and Dublin.

Fraser Forster – games come from an agreement in goalkeeper deal

It had been hinted earlier this year that Newcastle would like to visit the USA but the last time back in 2011, it was an exhausting trip with the club playing two games in the mid-west and then one in South Florida.

Maybe they are going to limit the travel this time around?

The news seems to be coming form the Glasgow side’s blogs – so maybe they have found out something.

The reports suggest Newcastle will play at Fenway Park against a team, likely to be Newcastle, with dates still to be arranged.

The deal comes from an agreement when Fraser Forster was sold to Celtic in 2012 for £2M, and Fraser has since moved to Southampton for £10M last summer.

6’7″ tall Forster was raised in Gosforth and has had an excellent first season in the Premier League on the south coast, and he has played three times so far for England, although he never played for the Newcastle United first team.

Comments welcome.

Lucas Pérez, a young Spanish winger currently on the books of PAOK in Greece, but who is on loan with Deportivo de la Coruña until June , is being strongly linked with us in the Spanish press

    he is from corbridge

as for Steve Mac , I personally think he is a good coach, with a decent track record, other than Man U he has worked with a smallish budget and got good results,

he was never going to work at forest because of his derby connection, they wanted him to fail,

but let’s face it, the choice between SM or P45 based on track records , SM wins hands down , he is a winner,

why would he come ? he still lives or has a house in the boro area,

remi garde ? not a bad coach , but with NUFC saying they are moving away from the French market , I think it puts his move to us in doubt

time will tell , as long as JC is gone I’m pretty open to who comes in

    just read Ashley’s statement

looks like a new manager and players will be bought in
I have to say it looks great
but I am a more than a little wary,

    the timing for one
just when the press are looking and asking questions
the masses are asking where the rest of the cash is

I have to say that bishop bloke is worth all his wages he knows how to put out a fire

we will all know by the end of august

I want the best coach available to NUFC, not someone’s mate or someone who gets the job because he toes the party line.

If SM was made number one target after extensive talks and interviews with a large number of candidates fair enough if not no thanks, he’ll just be Pardew by another name.

Either way I agree with our toon it’s carvers job all day long.

Anyone who thinks Carr Charnley or Carver has any say in players is crazy, Ashley runs SD like a dictator why would he be any different at NUFC where every deal is a potential million pound loss.

Every story in the papers ATM on players or managers is pure propaganda, Bishop makes Goebbils look like a Ameateur!

I’ve got to say it is still Carver’s to lose.
He still has 8 games to pull it off
A win against the unwashed , a draw at Anfield , and a win against Spuds at home , unlikely as they seem , would see him home and dry
