Newcastle Want To Sign Young Dutch Sensation

There is a report that Newcastle are interested in signing 21 year-old Feyenoord winger Jean-Paul Boetius, who joined the Dutch club when he was just six years old back in 2000.

The talented winger picked up his first and only cap so far for Holland last year in March, in a friendly game against France at the Stade de France in Paris.

Jean-Paul Boetius – 21 year-old Feyenoord winger

Newcastle probably hope to get a good deal on the youngster, since his contract runs out next summer.

He has played 96 times for Feyenoord over the last three seasons, with 20 goals and 17 assists. and he has played 26 times with four goals (combined) for the Holland U17, 19 and U21 sides.

Newcastle have already signed Gini Wijnaldum from PSV ten days ago, and we now have five Dutch Internationals in the squad, and if we can sign this promising young winger then that will make it six.

Jean-Paul plays on the left wing and he is valued at around €5M (£3.5M) on the transfermarkt.com web-site.

It may be that Newcastle have turned their attentions to the 21 year-old, after missing out on long term target 22 year-old Florian Thauvin of Marseilles.

Newcastle have been unable to agree a fee for the talented Frenchman with his French club, and may have decided to move on.

In March, north London rivals Tottenham and Arsenal were both said to be anxious to sign the Dutch international, who can also play on the right side, and the fee at that time was said to be £5M.

The report of Newcastle’s interest is in GOAL,  so we don’t know how accurate the story is – but Chief Scout Graham Carr has been scouting in Holland last season.

We cannot find any reports in Holland or in England on Newcastle’s interest in this player – so maybe take it with a pinch of salt.

But after signing Mitrovich today – even if Tottenham and Arsenal are interested and we are really keen on the 21 year-old – Newcastle could still be in with a chance of getting him to Tyneside.

Here’s some video on the player they call the young sensation.

We do need wide men who can create though with pace to stretch teams on the counter

We also need a set piece expert not seeing anyone in our team who will score a couple a season?

I was more keen on Ben-Yedder before we bought Perez.

Back then he seem like perfect budget player to buy and sell for profit and then replace with Armstrong.

People are really against Cabella aren’t they, truly amazed he gets such pelters on here

He had a tough first season playing under dodgy management and was handled terribly, people are all for give Anita another chance after season upon season of him not showing up “because the team style didn’t suit his game” but Cabella is out the door?

exactly, people got down on him for losing the ball when trying to make something happen by himself. Aside from perez who would you excpect him to pass the ball to? it was a talentless pitch. how many times did he set up rivi? he should have had at least 5 more assists last year? he deserves a chance to play with upgraded squad.

Elliot is a ROI GK, not many teams have an international as their second/third choice.
    TP,
If we’ve turned a corner then this purple/re sale policy has to be re thought.. Ok Cabaye might not have any resale but now Palace know he will be there until he retires or goes to the MLS or returns to France, players that will improve a team don’t have to be sold.

    Jane
He had 18 appearances and one goal that season
Ryan Taylor 23 and 2 goals (he was full back)
    Leon Best 16 and 4
    Danny Guthrie 12 and 1
    James Perch 13
    Danny Simpson 35
Just goes to show you shouldn’t place too much reliance on stats
Any way what am I arguing stats for , I’ve seen him with my own mince pies – he’s shyte !!!!

Before joining our shower of turd Cabella was lead assist maker on France (different kinds of assists) flying on the crest of a wave of success and he was greeted by Pardew who man management was terrible with him but he kept trying

More than enough to get at least another season for me

The policy is a shambles. I’d be amazed if Cisse is still here come the first of September like..

On Cabella im not a fan at all. I hope he makes it here, I just can’t see it. Looks way out of sorts to me.

Obertun played so many games that season because if rumours are to be believed Pardew bought him, he was dire as was RTaylor at LB, team spirit and luck brought us that eleven match unbeaten run before HBA and Cisse we’re introduced to finish off the season which very nearly went t1t’s up due to a lack of CB cover..

Graeme to be fair it was a boring argument nobody shouted at each other so it would have been easy to skip over.
The conclusion was we need a new RB LB and one or two more CHs. Took us a good hour to figure that one out

    Wwsbrd & Taco

On Cabella I give him alot of stick because the lad was arguably the worst signing of last season in the league. I keep reading well under new management he should do better. ….well isn’t that the case for all of them then? Why sell anyone?

Out of the players playing in his position last season only obertan was less productive than Cabella and that was by 1 assist. Gouffran and Sammy both out did him in terms of goals. Now consider how much they are worth and the price of Cabella, we had a Greggs pasty loving Arfa at the club prior to him and so many would blast him for being inconsistent or performing once in 7 games yet Cabella gets praise for what exactly?

Granted 1st season etc but even still he should have shown more quality than he did, Gouffran in his first year was ten times better, Cabella isn’t being judged on how he plays for NUFC he’s being judged on how he played for montpellier.

I agree Riviere who is worse missed some sitter than Cabella set up but he missed sitters that everyone set up for him. For 7m or even 12m I’d expect much better than the shite Cabella served up last season
