Newcastle are starting to make their moves in the transfer market with a bid reportedly just turned down for Napoli center-back Kalidou Koulibaly and that’s good – so hopefully we can get some players in very early in the transfer window which opens in a couple of days time.
One position we are very weak in – especially since it looks like Vurnon Anita will be out for some time – is in central midfield and we don’t really have a recognized player who has replaced Yohan Cabaye – who left Newcastle almost two years ago.
Jonjo Shelvey – available in January?
That’s one reason we are in trouble at the moment, because we have neglected the playing squad for some time and have assumed they can get by.
But this year we have not got by at all – and we were almost relegated in May – and we are currently 3rd bottom of the league going into 2016.
The goods news is that it’s looking more and more like Swansea could be willing to sell Jonjo Shelvey next month and he’s being heavily linked with Newcastle United.
There are reports today that Newcastle are now favorites to sign Shelvey, so hopefully Newcastle will make a move for him very soon – at least we hope they do.
Jonjo has played for all the England Youth sides through U21 and has six full caps for his country, and since joining Swansea from Liverpool two years ago, he´s made 95 appearances with 10 goals and 18 assists for the Swans – he´s a good player.
He was signed by Swansea in the summer of 2013 from Liverpool for around £6M and the news in the last week or two is that Shelvey wants to leave Swansea City in the January transfer window.

Comment #1Yes Jibberish, everything has an ulterior motive, we’re not really in the bottom three with our worst points total than our other relegation season and very near miss season.

Wow, never actually thought about that, we hear all about the ones we don’t sign, not a thing about those who appear holding the shirt. BS and propoganda !

Comment #4Rotonda from previous have you not noticed how many players you have out of pposition not to mention aarons is injured constantly
See its not that easy to pick a different teamfrom this squad without pputting players in there wrong positions that’s my point different options become far easier with a proper equipped squad
but forsome reason and very wworryingly the powers that be confidently say that it won’tchange aas if it s working well

Comment #5Well unfortunately for us Swansea aren’t like us and won’t sell one of their best players to a relegation rival in the midst of a relegation battle.
So yeah let’s move on.

Comment #10We cried to get some one to swing balls for Mitrovic but he jst disappointed.
He has missed more chances than he scored that is why he is still raw.

Comment #11Would Swansea sell Shelvey to us? Doubt it but hope so. He would be a big step towards salvation. We need more than one though.
