Valencia have just announced that they have signed Newcastle target Guilherme Siqueira from Atletico Madrid and that they have reached an agreement with Levante for the transfer of Argentine defender Lucas Orban until next June 30.
So that means both left backs we were after over the last two days have decided to stay in Spain.
Lucas Orban – joined Levante UD

The extension to this tweet says the following:
The Valencia CF and Club Atletico de Madrid have agreed the transfer of Brazilian Guilherme Siqueira to the Spanish side until June 30, 2017.
Magdalena Guilherme Siqueira (born 28.04.1986 in Florianopolis, Brazil) is a Brazilian left-back of proven quality, with good experience in both La Liga and internationally.
Siqueira came into the league in 2010 from Granada CF and after being at Italian club Udinese. At Granada he completed three spectacular seasons in which he was one of the best left-backs in the league.
During his time at Granada, he went on loan to Portuguese club Benfica and put in some strong performances that caught the attention of teams like Atletico Madrid, who signed him for the 14/15 Premier League season.
Siqueira will arrive tomorrow Monday, February 1 for a medical examination with Divina Pastora Seguros for the print media in the Ciudad Deportiva de Paterna at 9:30.
He will then be presented at a press conference at the Media Center, after training, by Sports Director Jesus Garcia Pitarch.
This is not good news for Newcastle.

Jimmy,
Really can’t see the sense in the Saviet deal in place of Tiote, but it seems more people think it is a good move than don’t, so what do I know.

Comment #26Tbh it’s absolutely ridiculous being in the situation we’re in. Why the board haven’t just bought two top quality signings every year instead of either not buying or getting flops for the last six years. We’re on the brink of relegation and this transfer window is almost shut and panic is setting in.

If we started in earnest would have had 8 signings.
Pathetic.

Comment #28Just had Doumbia’s champ league stats for this season up on SSN, they’re awesome, would be good to get someone in whose in form.
They then had some stats up on Bera, he’s only ever scored 22 premier league goals! Jesus they want a million quid for every goal he’s scored!

Let the mind games begin hahaha.
Sky could be up to there old tricks again to build up the transfer window.
Remember deadline days of old where they were falsely building up the hopes of the fans to get the fans to the grounds lol !
Strange how there has been no word on Doumbia as well

Comment #35A blog allows you to express an opinion about the team you support. If you’ve read my posts over the last few days you’d see my optimism and hope over the current proceddings going in at nufc. We are trying to buy hungry talent with heart. I think most aggree that those french players are holding us back.
A blog is not about attacking people and their opinions but feel free to continue to do so as I will only find it flattering.
