The injury prognosis on Dwight Gayle was good, that he would be out just two to three weeks with his hamstring injury – but it was not good on Vurnon Anita, who will be out two to three months with his ankle injury.
Vurnon has suffered ankle ligament damage and he will do well to play again this season with the season finishing in early May.
Isaac Hayden’s groin porblem is only slight and he could even be fit – an outside chance – for Saturday’s home game against Rotherham United.
Vurnon Anita – out a long time with ankle injury
anita lay off is going to be a massive miss for #nufc . hope big @Vurnon a speedy return. also Gayle and Hayden..

Comment #1Not too worried by this
Sterry/Gamez will do a good job in the League.
Ashley and Rafa defo met at the weekend solely to discuss funding and targets – no change of policy.

Comment #2Well said someone on the last post
This ashley news is pure nonsense.
I will add too. That we did a squad overhaul provided a good base to build on in the premier league (diame, ritchie, gayle, clark can all do a job in the premier league) and we still didnt touch any parachute payments.
Mike ashley should be chuffed with everything. The team is playing well, the fans are hapoy, the ckub is financially healthy despite p155ing away £70m the season before and getting relegated.

Comment #3Just reading that Man City will give Guardiola 250 million quid in the summer to won the title after he spent 150 millon quid last summer.
His wish list reads like a whos who of star players.
Makes you wonder why bother with financial fair play rules because they clearly are not working.
Time for FIFA to act.
There must be caps on fees teansfer fes paid, salaries eyc.
They must also insist on home grown academy players, say 4, included in each match day sqyad with a minimum of 2 starting.
Then we will see just how good Guardiola Mourunho etc really are.
