Predicted Newcastle Team To Beat Burton Albion

Both DeAndre Yedlin and Ciaran Clark are not available to face Burton Albion tomorrow night, but maybe at least one of them is fit to play at Sheffield Wednesday on Saturday afternoon.

Rafa has most of his other players available and will be playing another strong side to try to get another valuable 3 points towards our automatic promotion – hopefully

Last Saturday we had Perez and Hayden in our side, but Rafa played Mo Diame in the number 10 position and Jack Colback in defensive midfield.

Isaac Hayden and Ayoze Perez could both start against Burton

Hayden and Perez are both likely to start tomorrow so here’s our team to play (and beat) Burton Albion:

Darlow
Anita Hanley Lascelles (c) Dummett
Shelvey Hayden
Ritchie Perez Gouffran
Gayle

There’s also a good chance that Rafa may give Christian Atsu a rare start in place of Yoan Gouffran, who did not have a particularly good game against Wigan.

What would your team for tomorrow night?

As much as it pains me to say it, brighton are destined for good things, they’ve got a hell of a set up and a foundation down there. State of the art stadium and training pitches and an entire city galvanised behind them. Did you know every child member gets a free Brighton shirt sent to them on their 7th birthday? Hell of a marketing ploy, now there’s bairns running all over Brighton in their colours and growing up Brighton fans rather than Man Utd or Chelsea.

Jail’s Rafa Bingo confirmed lineup (not sure Jail For Ashley is still running this pool or not???)

    Darlow
    Anita Hanley Lascelles Dummett
    Shelvey Hayden
    Ritchie Perez Atsu
    Mitrovic

    Score: 3 – 1
It would be great, just one time, to see Rafa start with 2 strikers (Gayle and Mitro) in a 4-4-2. Unfortunately it doesn’t look like we will ever get the chance to see this. 🙁
That said, in Rafa I trust!

    Rafa bingo.

    Darlow

    Anita Lascelles Handley Dummett

    Shelvey Hayden

    Ritchie Diame Atsu

    Gayle

3-0 bonus point. Going for this because we need a confidence boosting big win. Their players must be feeling the strain now and this is our chance to give them the runaround. Bigger pitch and Shelvey capable of spreading it to the very edges. Two out and out wingers to exploit the width. Atsu impressed when he came on and Diame had a decent game for his 60 minutes. Never stopped running.

Just reading back some comments from yesterday. I don’t think Rafa will be looking to sign anybody from the Championship should we be promoted. I think he’ll have his sights set much higher myself. I also think he’ll be given 100m to spend on transfers and players. Ashley committed himself to winning something before he sells up and I reckon he’ll be looking to do that sooner rather than later. All speculation, like everybody else, but just a feeling I get. Back to sleep hopefully.

    WWSBRD @23

I don’t think that he will be leaving either, just found the article. Rafa is not stupid, he is trying to build a development squad to back up and fill the first team, so he is unlikely to sell of our better prospects.

On the transfer front, I doubt Rafa will be given much money to start with, most likely he will have to do some good business to generate the funds required to bring in the players he wants.

It has been mentioned often enough that money is available for transfers, but how much is the question? we did no business in the winter (lack of funds or being prudent)? and the fat man had to put his hand in his pocket and shell out another loan of 30 odd million.

So regardless of how well we did in the summer, the fact that we needed another loan from the fat man would suggest the coffers are empty.

It’s a cash flow issue. Just because the owner puts in 30 million early in the season, doesn’t mean their won’t be even as much as the 100 million Bobby mentioned able to be made available when the time comes some 9 months later. But yes I agree, Rafa will also need to generate some of it through sales.
