Newcastle Have Latest Bid Accepted For 22 Year-Old Jacob Murphy

Newcastle United have finally had their bid for Jacob Murphy accepted at £10M up front and with £2M add-ons based on his performance at Newcastle.

The England U-21 winger is expected to join up with the first team squad in Dublin as soon as possible so he can get to know his team-mates once the deal has been completed.

The player who was a Newcastle fan as a boy is currently in Dusseldorf, Germany with the Norwich squad – and he is due to fly directly to Dublin to complete the move.

22 year-old Jacob Murphy – fee agreed with Norwich City

The lad wanted to join Newcastle and he has made that abundantly clear.

Last season Jacob scored 9 goals and had 8 assists in the 40 total games he played for the Canaries in the Championship.

The season before that he was on loan at Coventry City with Newcastle’s Adam Armstrong and he scored 10 goals and had 10 assists in the 43 total games he played in that season.

And in the European U-21 Championships in Poland earlier this summer, he was one of England’s best players as we reached the semi-final stage of the tournament before we went out on penalties after the score was 2-2 after extra time.

This is a good signing for Newcastle and the most we will pay is the full £12M, which is a decent deal in today’s very inflated transfer market.

Hopefully, there will be more new signings soon too.

Howay The Lads!!

Ok, we’ve agreed the fee now let’s hope Mikey boy didn’t forget that he told Rafa the money would be there for signings. It seems he has a convenient memory – especially after he’s necked a few beers.

Assuming his memory’s good and he doesn’t let Rafa down, who, if anyone’s next through the door? A striker? A keeper? Left back? A creative central midfielder to cover Shelvey?

But, will there be enough in the kitty or do we need to push some sales through before we buy.

Glad its sorted, but we dragged our feet once again. Does that mean the Ojo speculation was just to push Norwich to sell, if so , it has worked

Before I go Mark, highlights of the Bristol game are on the club website mate. Enjoy.
Murphy on his way to Ireland to join up with Rafa apparently. Onward and upward.

Spoof, I take it you haven’t seen much of Arma then? Pace is the one thing he isn’t lacking. Nor finishing for that matter.
Again, at Coventry the players providing assists went back to parent clubs in January. They got relegated the following season. Still, let’s see how this season goes for him. It’s his biggest yet, it’s up to him now.

I’m happy with the signing and I’m happy that we have a manager like Rafa who isn’t afraid to do a bit of straight talking, he’s basically put the ball in Ashleys court and if the signings he’s been promised don’t come in we know exactly why. We now know Rafa won’t stand there scratching his nose and cheek with the side of his finger talking about bodies already in the biwding and how we couldn’t compete with Swansea or Southampton.

I know he played for Norwich and not MK Dons but I would love this kid to be the next Deli Alli ( Still mad as hell that Cashley didn’t give us a few million to get Deli) lets hope so, I have a feeling we will get two more in by this time next week. Fingers Crossed

Must be soul destroying for these players – your chance of stardom and the newspaper report
“Triallist B nearly equalised when Triallist A made a good run and set him up 10 yards out, but Harker blocked his shot, and when the ball came back in from the right, Triallist A headed just wide” (from tonight Darlo game)
