It seems there is a good chance that Grant Hanley, Achraf Lazaar, and Jack Colback could be leaving Newcastle with the first two likely to tie up deals today.
A fee has been agreed with Norwich for Grant Hanley, and he will be undergoing his medical today, and hopefully, that deal can be announced before the day is out.
Achraf Lazaar to move on loan to Benevento
And there’s news from Italy from Gazzetta dello Sport’s journalist Nicolo Schira that Achraf Lazaar will sign a loan deal at Benevento today.
#Benevento is closing #Lazaar on loan from #Newcastle. He will sign a contract in Milano tomorrow #NUFC #transfers

It looks like Jack Colback will be moving to Hull City on loan for the season according to the Chronicle as long as Newcastle pay half of Jack’s massive £70K/week wages, but that deal will happen – maybe today.
But as far as bringing players into the club time it could be difficult for Newcastle, with less than two full days left in the transfer window.
We had expected Kenedy to come in on loan from Chelsea once Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain was signed by the Blues, but the Arsenal player has turned down the move across London.
And Newcastle have been linked with several strikers, but time is running out.
We’d also be surprised if Dwight Gayle leaves the club before tomorrow night since the best we can do is to get somebody in to replace him.
But we wanted a fourth striker in before tomorrow night, so presumably, even if we replace Gayle we’d still have only three strikers.
And as we expected, Aleksandar Mitrovic has been charged with dangerous play by the FA and is now almost certain pick up a three match ban – just what we didn’t need.
Comments welcome.

Comment #1I remember some people used to take the day off on deadline day just to watch for signings on ssn, I wonder if any nufc fan still does that.
Is no news still good news?

Comment #6Every source I’ve looked at puts Colback’s wage at £35,000 per week
I fact when he became a free agent in June 2014 , West Ham offered him £55,000 per wek but he opted for his home town club at reduced wages.
By the way he was on £8,000 per week at Sunderland !!!!

Comment #8We’d need to replace Colback. If hayden gets injured then theres no-one to step in.
Also we still have no number 10 in the squad. Jota is still available and I’d be tempted to get Hourihane or go back in for Cairney.Fulham are near bottom of league and his reason for staying was he thought they’d go up. Then if we dont get Kenedy from Chelsea, I’d go for Lewis Baker.

Comment #10I hope we can bring players in that will improve the team.
You know Rafa must have some players lined up and wages agreed to speed transfers up.
You just never know with Charnley if he wants to get them signed at the possible wrath of cashless.
Fingers crossed cashless surprises us all and provides some funds.

Comment #12To various.. re JC on 35k
Thanks. Thought it was a bit much like. Ed… can you check your figures? General consensus is that Jack is on half what you say he is on.

I reckon WHU think they dodged a bullet. Jack tries hard but doesnt bring enough to make a big impact. Spam have had the likes of carrick and Lampard in the CM over the years, i doubt wor jack would have lived up to those standards.

Comment #16Two new signings and two new loans looming
First the loans
According to the Telegraphh – Kenedy from Chelsea is back on the cards
Andrea Ranocchia the Inter defender who was on loan at Hull for the last
six months of 2016/17 says he would like more time in England – NUFC
being one of his suitors.
The signings will be
1
A goalie , which one – gawd knows
2
According to the Italian football oracle Alfredo Pedulla , last night we offered
Sampdoria €20 million – double what they paid Anderlecht last summer.

Comment #17Three more players close to leaving but, who can we expect coming in?
Mmm, that’s a fair question. I wonder if Rafa’s had any thoughts on who he’d like yer? He’s left it a bit late to be expecting Charnley to arrange for new players to come in by Thursday night.

Comment #18Don’t know where70k comes from he came to Newcastle for less than 50k because he wanted to play for his home club and turned down west ham for that amount .we were only paying 30k for all incoming players at the time.
