It’s difficult to know at this time which three clubs will be relegated in May.
Although it’s looking clear that Alan Pardew’s West Brom will be one of the teams to go down since they are now 8 points from safety after losing 2-0 at home to Manchester City last night.
They also still have to play at St. James’ Park this season, and that has to be a must-win game for us.
There’s a chance that Crystal Palace could take the drop with Roy Hodgson’s side 3rd bottom and if that’s the case, they will lose some of their players.
Andros Townsend – will Rafa be interested if Palace relegated?
An interesting one will be Andros Townsend who wanted to leave Newcastle just less than two years ago.
Rafa rates the England International and tried to sign him in January last year and then in the summer.
But Townsend’s price had gone up from £14M to £25M according to reports.
It would be a good question if Newcastle fans would accept Andros back but he played really well under Rafa two years ago.
And if he does come back and plays just as well, he could again become a valuable player for us.
As always whoever the tree clubs are other Premier League clubs will try to get the best players from the relegated clubs.
West Brom do have center-back Jonny Evans – who has plenty of experience in the Premier League, and he has a release clause in his contract if the Baggies are relegated.
The former Sunderland loanee would cost around £3M.
What do you think?

Comment #5For me, this bridge has been burned. Some bridges can be reclaimed and rebuilt, but I don’t think
this one will be or even should be. If it is, does anyone think he will be more than a squad player?
