Rafa Benitez Interested In Signing Marcus Rashford

The Mail have a report out today that discusses Marcus Rashford’s future and whether he needs to go out on loan next season to get more first team games.

The report is that Rashford could become a world-class player and he has already shown what he can do when given a chance for both the Red Devils and England.

Rashford is still only 20, and one of the world’s best young players and Rafa Benitez is keen to take him on loan next season.

But there doesn’t seem to be any way Newcastle could get an option to buy in the loan contract, and in any case, it would be a sky-high transfer fee that we couldn’t afford.

Marcus Rashford – Rafa could be given the green light to get him on loan

But Newcastle could get a top-class player for a season, so it’s not a long-term proposition.

But if Rashford is to go on loan next season, then Newcastle have to be a favorite because of Rafa’s renowned ability to bring the best out of good young players.

What Rafa did for Chelsea’s 22-year-old Kenedy is still one of the talking points of this year.

If Rashford came to Newcastle, he would be a starter and would get lots of playing time, and he could also score lots of goals for us.

Fresh in the mind is his fabulous goal in England’s 2-0 victory over Costa Rica at Elland Road last Thursday.

And of course the 20-year-old is in the England squad for the World Cup in Russia which starts this coming week.

Everton and Leicester are the two other clubs where he could end up if the Red Devils do decide to send him out on loan next season.

    Rashford is a Wythenshawe lad
    He’s not 21 until October
I cannot see him moving far from the North West
Everton must be favourite esp if Rooney stays

It seems a lifetime ago since the days we’d be buying our very own stars. Now if we’re not being linked to 3M deals, we’re being linked with other clubs stars on loan of the level we couldn’t hope to ever sign permanently.

If the suggestion is that Rashford goes out on loan then Jib has a point that Everton is close enough for the lad to get home for tea each night. However there’s no love lost between Mancunians and Merseysiders so he might want to avoid that grief. More importantly if he wants to grow his career then Rafa and SJP is a significantly greater opportunity than Silva and a run down Goodison Parking lot. Perhaps he should ask Kennedy. Even better join him here and they can share digs or find a landlady in Darras Hall if that’s possible.

How is this story still going? I think some twisted humour is being played out in Journoland. Seeing if the Geordies will bite. 🙂

    There’s more than that Lochinvar
    Both managers are Portuguese and
    know each other well
The red side of Bindipperland hates
the Mancs but Everton are OK with them

I could see us getting Sandro from Everton
He’s been on loan at Sevilla since Xmas
    and hardly played.

The great thing about these fictional ramblings created by bored hacks is that they think they’re winding up fans.
Well we’re happy to keep the babbles amused between their feeds. It’s what grown ups do.

Please can we stop this nonsense? Rashford will not be coming to Newcastle and I personally don’t want a player on loan if there’s no way we can buy him. For me I’d go back in for Tammy Abraham’s on an all out purchase. I think with Rafa as his coach we’ll see what he’s all about.

I would take any player on loan for a year without option to buy if they would improve our first team, also under 21 so it adds to squad depth, also if they have a positive experience then don’t quite make it with their top 4 club we could be in a good position to sign them
