Fanatik is reporting that Galatasaray want Stoke City midfielder Badou Ndiaye back at the club, after he signed for Stoke in January.
He was brought in to try to save Stoke from relegation and was signed on the last day of the January window for a fee of £14M on a four and a half year deal.
We wonder if the player had a release clause put in his contract in case Stoke were relegated – which they were.
Fanatik has had several articles out, and clubs like Newcastle, Everton, and Wolves said to be interested in signing the midfielder.
27-year-old Stoke City midfielder Badou Ndiaye
It would probably take £14M to sign him at Newcastle, and we don’t know if that is too much for the club although there seems definite interest coming from the Magpies.
And £14M is not too much for newly promoted and ambitious Wolves who will likely spend more money in this summer’s transfer window than Newcastle.
Badou Ndiaye admits he misses playing at Galatasaray and has this to say:
“I do miss Galatasaray and I know you are going to ask if I will return,” Ndiaye said.
“I can’t say anything about my future right now or where I will be playing next season.
“I will make a final decision over which club I will play for at the end of the World Cup.”
It could be a while before Senegal are eliminated from the World Cup – yes – we know technically they could win it and not be eliminated. at all
Ndiaye started in yesterday’s 2-2 draw against Japan, and they now have a good chance of reaching the knockout rounds.
If Senegal can draw their final game against Columbia, they will go through although the South Americans are in good form having beaten Poland 3-0 yesterday.
Group favorites Poland have lost their first two games and are now eliminated.
Badou Ndiaye is a good player with some class and could be a good addition to Rafa’s squad at Newcastle.
