Newcastle – The Perfect Club Players Can Be Proud To Play For – It Has Everything

When we heard that 29-year-old Ki Sung-yueng was coming to Newcastle on a free, it looked like a terrific acquisition for Newcastle

Ke is the current South Korea captain and an experienced player in the Premier League for Swansea, and he’s a talented technically astute player.

When we watched his nufcTV interview, we liked him even more and were surprised he knew so much about Newcastle.

But there again he’s similar to DeAndre Yedlin and played on loan at Sunderland for a season, so he knows just how massive a club Newcastle are.

29-year-old Ki Sung-yueng – excellent acquisition

We really think Ki could surprise a lot of fans by his talent this coming season and he has already played alongside Jonjo Shelvey while at Swansea.

So Mo Diame will have some fierce competition next season, but Mo was just unbelievable for us this year.

Diame will know he needs to play to that high standard to keep his place in the Newcastle starting lineup next season.

Ki can also be a valuable sub for Newcastle next season because of his great versatility and experience and should get lots of playing time.

This is some of what Ki has told nufcTV:

“When I was young I knew Alan Shearer was playing for Newcastle, so of course I knew the club,”

“When I won the bronze medal in the London Olympic Games, my first game was in Newcastle. It was a great memory.”

“When I came to the Premier League, playing against Newcastle was always difficult. It’s difficult play against the players and the fans.”

“Every time I came here to play against Newcastle, I felt real envy because of the fans.”

“I know there’s a big history with the club, and of course I played in Sunderland.”

“So I knew the massive rivalry with Sunderland. That’s why it made an easy decision.”

“This is the perfect club that players can have pride as a football player. Everything – fans, facilities – is perfect.”

“First, I have to play well to get support from the fans,” “That’s the first priority as a player.”

“Of course, there will be difficult times, but I know the supporters will be behind us.”

“I’m really looking forward to playing in front of big fans. “I just want to make sure I show my quality to the fans.”

Ki also has leadership skills, and we’re glad to have him on board.

He should be back at Newcastle after a holiday where he can recharge his batteries back home in South Korea.

Comments welcome.

Micky, it can be both mate! Depends if a figure can be agreed by both clubs. Basically it means that if we sell at any point, they get first dibs.
Then again, they still have to offer the right price if one’s not agreed. EG, if we decide to sell they get first choice, but if somebody ups their bid they still have to match it – unless a fixed price is agreed in the original contract! 🙂 Nothing simple in football contracts.
Leave you with this one, I’m being dragged out the house under duress. 🙂

I can’t see Rafa telling Ashley to sign x y and z before he’ll sign. Makes no sense, Ashley doesn’t lend himself to being bent over a barrel and the last thing Rafa wants is more barriers.

I can see Rafa saying “Don’t worry about my contract it has a year to run, we’re busy with transfers, we’ll sort it after the window closes”

Its the sensible way to do it, without causing animosity or having a Mexican stand off.

It’s obvious to A blind man on a galloping horse what Rafa wants, hes keeping his powder dry but has his sights on the target.

The ball is firmly in Ashleys court, everyone will see in the next several weeks how committed to Rafas plan for NUFC he is.

“Crusty curmudgeon”, now there’s a phrase I don’t hear too often.

Are you Jacob Rees-Mogg in disguise?

So the recent links are to do with flagging season ticket renewals ( and only those not on a deal) hmmm….. and the best names our lauded PR folk can apparently come up with to boost things are Townsend and Plea – oh do me a favour ha ha

bobby. ive said the same a few times. benitez would be an idiot to sign before he gets a few signings in. his hand is strong now. and he doesn’t have to confront ashley aggressively. he can just delay without saying why. i dont see that there is possibly anything else going on. 100% as you say.

Whether we are in for plea or not, few people have been questioning if he’s good enough or worth the supposed £27m. Who would everyone’s choices for strikers be? Mine would be Willian jose at sociedad and as someone’s mentioned earlier, moussa dembele at Celtic.

Congrats to Sweden who advance to the Quarters, there to face England or Columbia.

I think we’ve a good chance of beating Columbia who we’ll score at least a couple against (though could concede a couple too). I think we’ll then go on and beat Sweden (sorry swemag). Exciting…

My striker choices would be Plea ofcourse.
Followed by Mariano Diaz as an alternative.
Willian Jose is not a bad choice but think he has recurring injury problem. If Ritchie leaves,
Sisto would be by Choice to replace him.

I think I am confusing this Plea guy with someone else as he is apparently 25 and I previously thought we were after some young gun hailed as the next MBappe, whch clearly Plea at 25 isn’t.
