The Sun are reporting today that Rafa Benitez is trying to bring Andros Townsend back to Newcastle from Crystal Palace.
But if that bid fails, then he will try to sign Aston Villa right winger Albert Adomah.
Rafa also wants Kenedy on loan for the year from Chelsea with an option to buy the player next summer – so it seems the manager does want two new wingers coming in – which could mean Matt Ritchie leaves the club.
The 30-year-old right winger was born in Lambeth in London and joined Aston Villa two years ago after they had been relegated from the Premier League along with Newcastle and Norwich City.

He joined them after three years at Middlesbrough, so he has played before in the north-east.
Apart from 2016-2017 in the Premier League with Middlesbrough who were relegated that season – he’s played all his football in the lower leagues of England so he could seem an odd choice for Rafa.
The 6ft 1 ins tall player can also play as a striker.
In his two years in the Championship with Villa he’s scored 18 goals and 18 assists in 83 games – so he’s been involved in 36 goals for Villa in 83 games.
He’s played 18 times for Ghana with two goals and made his debut back in September 2011 at Craven Cottage in the 1–0 defeat to Brazil.
And with Villa in financial trouble, we could get him for a bargain buy this summer – if we cannot get Townsend.
