Newcastle have just confirmed on their website the signings of forwards Rosaire Longelo, and Yannick Toure, who have joined from West Ham United and Young Boys respectively.
They will become part of the U23 side managed this season by Ben Dawson.
Here is the tweet put out by Newcastle showing Yannick Toure with Rafa.
Newcastle’s under-23s kick off their PL2 campaign at @WBA tomorrow, and the club can confirm the signings of youngsters Yannick Toure and Rosaire Longelo.

And here’s some information put out about the players on the Newcastle website:
Newcastle United have completed the signings of youngsters Yannick Toure and Rosaire Longelo.
Toure, 17, and Longelo, 18, will both link up with Ben Dawson’s U-23 squad, who kick off their Premier League 2 Division Two campaign at West Bromwich Albion on Monday afternoon.
The Magpies saw off competition from a string of other clubs to land frontman Toure, who has arrived on Tyneside from Swiss outfit Young Boys.
Although he was born in Senegal, Toure has represented Switzerland at youth level, and scored twice on his U-17 debut against Austria a year ago.
Wide-man Longelo, meanwhile, joins the Magpies from West Ham United, where he spent the last decade.
He figured once for the Hammers’ second string last time out, and also netted twice in 12 appearances for the East Londoners’ U-18s.
18-year-old winger Longelo spent ten years at the Hammers and became a graduate of their youth system after progressing through the ranks.
17-year-old striker Toure was not short of admirers as it is also said that he had interest from elsewhere, while Longelo has spent time on trial with the Magpies.
It’s always positive when we sign some good up-and-coming teenagers to the club.
We hope both of these can become first team players in the years ahead.
That’s what we need.
Comments welcome.

I assume even regional newspapers have
sub-editing software.
Which leads me to believe the Chronic
probably copied and pasted that from
social media

Comment #3Given the questions about SD’s purchase of HoF and that in the context of Ashley saying he didn’t have access to the cash needed to fund NUFC, can we hope that he’s used the club’s recent surpluses from prize money and transfers to pay of his loan, buy HoF and be ready to sell the club debt free? That being so, an offer of about £200m should satisfy should suffice – provided he’s not going to be too greedy.
We can but hope he decides to concentrate on degrading the relatively good name of HoF having done do with those names once synonymous with quality – Slazenger, Dunlop, Karrimore etc.

Comment #4Fans showed their feelings at SD on Ssturday – does Newcastle still have a branch of HoF? A presence at Ashley’s newly acquired store might just help focus his mind on editing the football business.

The ‘boring repetitive anti Ashley crap’ as you so eloquently put it is topical but seems not to fit your clearly pro-Ashley agenda.
If he does sell the club, maybe Bishop could use your undoubted talents elsewhere. Finding a role commensurate with your ability might prove tricky though!

A fan demo at the Metrocentre’s HoF outlet might capture Ashley’s attention – and the media’s.

Comment #13As for the West ham kid – if he couldn’t make it at West Ham how is he good enough for here ?
We did the same for 2 kids from London last year – they seemed to have disappeared without trace too
