Newcastle Defender Is In Demand

Bristol Live are reporting today that Aston Villa are considering a move for Newcastle’s center-back Ciaran Clark.

We brought in Ciaran from Aston Villa two years ago for his release clause of around £5M, and he’s been an excellent buy for us over two years.

Rafa Benitez has made him into a much better player than when he first arrived on Tyneside.

Aston Villa manager Steve Bruce is short of money, and he wants Ciaran on a season-long loan, but why the center-back would drop down a league to return to his former club, we have no idea.

Ciaran Clark – going nowhere

With Florian Lejeune out maybe for the season, Rafa needs all four center-backs at the club.

And Ciaran is one of the men in possession at the moment which is another reason he wouldn’t; want to drop down a division.

There is just no way Rafa Benitez will let Ciaran Clark leave this summer.

He has played 59 times with 5 goals for Newcastle over the last two seasons and was excellent in our promotion season two years ago.

There’s also no way he will let holding midfielder Isaac Hayden leave before August 31st either.

He may let him go if we get Diego Reyes
the 25 year old Mexican CB who has let
    his contract expire at Porto.

Can’t see this happening. At the minute he’s a first choice for us.

Clark’s going nowhere. If Yarney hadn’t been sent on loan, he could have provided back-up to the other three senior CBs, but as he’s at Morecambe…

    Fabian Schär
    Federico Fernandez
    Jamaal Lacelles
    Lejeune to return
    Isaac Hayden
    All better than Clark (imo)

Someone mentioned the twitter photos of hydrotherapy facilities round the country compared with NUFC’s. See below

Clarke is also presumably providing LB cover and Schar has no PL experience whatsoever. Lejuene might not play again this summer.

    Just a little Arabic Humour.

You do realise that in Arabic “Etihad” means “United”.

So Man City play at the “United Stadium”.

    It amuses me.

Jib, not sure how you can put Hayden ahead of him as a centre half.

DubaiMicky has been picking up pointers from Jib. I noticed he dropped in an ‘inshallah’ yesterday, too.

Only a matter of time until we have posts written in Arabic with no translation, with a chuckle on the end. One must amuse thyself.

I hope I can count on your support for munster team Limerick in the all Ireland hurling final on Sunday guys. It may be on sky, have a peep if you can. The skills speed and physicality of the game is stunning. Of the nufc players I think yedlin and muto wud have the speed and touch to make it. Completely irrelevant point but I’m still on hols so hey ho. 🙂

Somebody who points out how shabbily run Mike Ashleys NUFC does not necessarily hate the toon. However it could be argued that someone who constantly defends his actions has some kind of dislike for us. It is generally only smoggies and mackems that you will hear saying he is doing a great job.

There are those who hate the town
who have latched onto the ill feeling
towards the owner knowing that they
will be listened to by Mags.
    Quite a subtle approach really.

    Subtlety is something you will
    never be accused of.

Clark is a decent championship defender, gets found out to often in the top league.

Munster Mag, the hurling has been amazing this year, it should be a very exciting final, on Kierank Clark, there is no way he will be leaving Newvastle this year as he is a very good professional and one of our best defenders. HWTL.
