Here are the highlights of yesterday’s game and if only Kenedy had been able to score with that last minute penalty.

Good on Hayden for his statement, no hard feelings and hopefully he will learn from the ‘whole’ experience.

I saw Joselu hold onto the ball, ride a challenge and nearly but not take it past a player. Is that in the highlights?!

‘Newcastle manager Rafael Benitez is a target for Chinese Super League side Tianjin Quanjian. (Sunday Mirror)’
From the BBC football gossip section.

Not the most reputable of sources, but, it is the first time I have seen Benitez linked with a Chinese club. And let’s be honest, what is holding him back.

What are the odds Brendan Rodgers fancies the Newcastle job?

The starting 11 picked themselves (according to Rafas rigid 4231 formation), the subs were dictated by the injury and red card and the result could of easily been anything but a draw. A poor game, performance and we can only be happy that we didn’t lose. Hopefully the team will steadily improve and by match #10 we will be more impressed, plus will have beaten Forest.

Not gonna argue with you on that one The Jib. Blog usage discussion clearly suits you better than actual football conversations. Leave that to the lads who’ve actually played the sport.

    Benitez plays 4-4-1-1.

It hasn’t been a rigid 4-2-3-1 in quite some time.

The Jib, where’s the football knowledge lad. Show me…

Or is claiming Rafa gives better players less playing time as far as you can stretch it…

“was good that Rafa kept Joselu
on for the ten man dog fight
He was clearly looking after Rondon
which means he defo rates the Venezualan
    as better.”

I dought Brendan Rodgers would want the job if Rafa left, he’s supposedly not happy at Celtic because of a lack of funds, so can’t see him coming to us if the worst/inevitable happens and Rafa leaves

Yesterday i would describe the roles played by Ritchie and Kenedy as more attacking as i do not remember them providing much cover, against the top teams we definitely play 4411. I also do not relly remember them being clearly successful at going forward, which suggests Warnocks plan for the game worked better than our own.
