Former Player Predicts Newcastle vs Chelsea Result

Michael Owen is now working as a pundit, so one thing he gets to do is predict the Premier League games for BetVictor.

We expect most of the pundits will predict we will be beaten on Sunday against Chelsea in the 4:00pm game, and we know Chelsea have some world-class players in their team.

We don’t.

But it’s just the type of game that Rafa loves to play at St. James’ Park, and if we can be strong in defense, we could get something out of this game.

We should have taken all 3 points last Saturday at Cardiff City given how things turned out in the end when Kenedy missed that last-minute penalty, but the Brazilian is not eligible for this game.

Sunday would be a great time to make up for that disappointment.

Michael Owen – former Newcastle striker

Here’s what Michael Owen has said about the game:

“United were left rueing Kenedy’s late penalty miss at Cardiff on Saturday.”

“Although a point gained with ten men following a goalless draw in south Wales was a decent enough return.”

“Chelsea have picked up six goals and six points from their two games to date and I just feel the west London outfit’s superior class will prevail.”

“Although Spurs had luck on their side when they picked up maximum points at St James’s Park on the opening weekend of the campaign.”

“Tip is Chelsea to win at 13/20.”

If we can take anything out of this game on Sunday, it will be a huge confidence booster for the lads.

Heart says 3-1 to us, head says 2-1 to them.

We need to address some concerns in our defense and also lack a cutting edge. I’m hoping that they were just minor tweaks required and Rafa has been able to correct it, if not we’ll be in for a tough afternoon, especially if Hazard is now fully fit and Diame and Ritchie continue to snooze.

OP, Pav was signed by Arthur Cox, broke into the first team under Ardiles and became a Geordie and a legend under Keegan
