Newcastle Fans Have Their Say – On Lots Of Things

Here are some tweets put out by our fans today on lots of different things – from the Ashley out protest on a very wet Northumberland Street to a rumor that Jamaal Lascelles is not in the squad for today.

We will do very well to get something out of the Chelsea game today – but today is as good a time as any to start picking up some points and get our first win.

We don’t want to be in the bottom three when the two-week International break starts after next weekend when we are due to play at Manchester City.

Newcastle fans in good voice – as usual

Just noticed on the NUFC site, the match preview, a tweet by Fernandez (25th) saying see you tomorrow.

A hint he might be playing?

Think there is good chance Rafa could go 5 at the back like he hasn’t on occasion done before like v Man City.

    Jail for Ashley

are/were you there today and does it appear to be effective, in that it is stopping people from using the shop?

Half empty at Watford. So depressing seeing these no-mark clubs enriched by TV money (and outspending us in the process…).

Would a closed-shop franchise really be any worse than the current set-up?

And to think, some people on the blog were claiming Chi Onwurah should stop wasting her time and be worrying more about saving the world from war, disease, wealth inequality, famine, etc etc.

How long did it take her to write a letter on behalf of her constituents, about 5 minutes?

Hopefully this letter has as much effect as the last one… I do believe it will… but Ashley will not respond because he has been put in check-mate and has no excuses anymore.

The pressure is ramping up on Ashley—wonderful to see.

Ameobi, if on sky, is surely a plant by Ashley and Co, if he sticks up for fat boy. I know that sounds paranoid.

Nice to see that Michael Owen has finally admitted robbing a living for the last seven years of his career. Pity he didn’t include some of that stuff about his hamstrings being “done” after the age of 19 in his sales brochure.

Chi Onwurah makes a good point about more transparency of finances that applies to all clubs.

Chi Onwurah was reaffirming the points made in this letter: https://themagpiegroup.co.uk/

Asking for an investigation into how Ashley is running the club financials, regards to SD, club shop etc. This is what people have been trying to highlight for years.

Ashley has made a mistake somewhere, and it will be found.

Did you not see his last appearance where he defended Ashley as having done a good job. Well his lack of investment certainly extended Shola’s Toon career!

Its a silly point i know, but just read the chi letter, and while i agree with saying a lot of these things, im not sure it hasn’t been said already, as a politician, i think this is more about HER FAN BASE for future re-election.

I mean come on, places for fans on the board, like it would be anything other than a token place with no affect. he doesn’t listen to his board as it is.

re investment is also a tricky one to prove, he could say he bought good value players as apposed to over priced players.

it appears to me, she is the only winner in this. we the fans are no further forward
