Newcastle fans took to Twitter tonight after we played very poorly at Nottingham Forest and lost 3-1 with 3 goals coming in stoppage time.
Rafa didn’t seem happy after the match and he again thought the refereeing was poor.
But we had only one shot on target and we will need to work on our counter-attacks if we are to defend for long stretches of our games this season.
It’s been a poor start and our next two games are tough against Manchester City and Arsenal.
Oh well – this seems to be another very difficult season for the club – so no change there.
Rafa Benitez on the touchline tonight
Don’t want to spread negatively regarding #NUFC but this regime is killing us, just be decent to complete like

On this, it still baffles me why pundits, many of whom have considerable experience in English football, get #nufc fans so wrong. Our unrest over the past decade isn’t born out of entitlement or arrogance – just a desire to compete which, financially, we haven’t done for years

Rafa is getting away with murder like u can’t keep using the same old excuses then putting in dogshit performances time and time again most of the players are his buys too #nufc

I won’t blame Rafa if he leaves after his contract this season. We won’t ever see a manager of his calibre again! #NUFC

In 43 years of following #Nufc I’ve seen us lose to Exeter, Wrexham, Chester, Grimsby, Fulham, Millwall, Bournemouth, Luton, Oxford twice, Peterborough twice, Stevenage, Brighton 3 times, Sheff Wed, and now Forest twice. All lower league teams at the time. Nothing new tonight.

Still retain total confidence in Rafa. He has never been the problem. Can only play the hand he’s been dealt. That doesn’t make tonight any easier, though. #NUFC

Watch us get a result against City Saturday, most unpredictable club on the planet. #nufc

Forest outspent #NUFC this summer. YES we ended the summer in profit, BUT just being outspent by Forest, a Championship club, is utterly scandalous. It’s a disgrace what Mike Ashley is doing to my club.

Can’t even imagine being 73 years old in the club watching Newcastle United play Stevenage in the League One play off semi final first leg in 41 years time, with the club now in the hands of Mike Ashley’s step son.#nufc

I never thought Wigan away under souness could be beaten or wolves home New Year’s Day 1990 for utter shite but this rabble did tonight in particular Kennedy and atsu were laughable #Nufc

Yes we have been shite but I think we can all agree:
1.Had enough chances to draw with spurs
2. Missed pen against Cardiff
3. 10 mins from Chelski draw
4. Should have had 95th min pen tonight
No one has made us look that bad this season.
Keep calm, we will come through #NUFC
