Newcastle Fans Take To Twitter After Massive Disappointment

Newcastle fans took to Twitter tonight after we played very poorly at Nottingham Forest and lost 3-1 with 3 goals coming in stoppage time.

Rafa didn’t seem happy after the match and he again thought the refereeing was poor.

But we had only one shot on target and we will need to work on our counter-attacks if we are to defend for long stretches of our games this season.

It’s been a poor start and our next two games are tough against Manchester City and Arsenal.

Oh well – this seems to be another very difficult season for the club – so no change there.

Rafa Benitez on the touchline tonight

it’s not about where we finish,

last night he said he thought we played well.
on sunday he said my player are not good enough, but i thank them for there effort.
do you honestly not see what’s wrong with that.
if you say negative things about your work force, why should the work hard for you?
did he just say it on sunday to get a reaction ?
if this was the reaction and he said he was happy with it, again should you not worry.
His words mean a lot, they carry weight.

“only because Rafa sold our top striker that most fans liked”
That goes to show how out of touch with the club you are, I go to the match, drink & work with a lot of NUFC supporters and Mitro was simply not rated by the vast majority.
Your lass should have let you watch more games and you might have also seen that.
    Now once again…

What postion do we need to finish in the league for you to come here and admit you were wrong about Benitez? 12th? 15th?

    Stop dodging the question.

Jib “die for the cause”? Since when? Did they do that against Cardiff? It’s another perpetuated Rafa myth. He gets rid of players with personality & only buys players who will play to his game plan of sit back & pump long balls for 70 mins and then see if we are still in the game. That plan is there against all teams not just the top ones.

Come on it’s not difficult just throw a number out there. If we win the league with a record amount of points is there the slightest possibility that you may have been wrong.?

omg thank you sutty, i’m glad someone other see it too.

your post From Braga game, spot on.

players are not playing for Jose, you can see it, they don’t like his tactics.

You can see it in our players to, Ritchie’s outburst vs Spurs. Lascelles questioning Rafa and gets dropped, Ritchie and Lascelles have a fight.

it’s not right at our club, and if you read both Carragah and Stvie Gs books, they say Rafa is a great tactician, but he is antagonistic, esp with the owners.
AT nufc he knows he can play the fans against Ashley, and have them on his side.
Ashley is wrong, full stop, but so is Rafa

    Black & White.

It’s funny, Mitro was rated by most fans until Rafa decided he’d prefer to play first Murphy then Joselu ahead of him, the started the “well Rafa sees more of him on the training ground than we do” and “in Rafa we trust” and “He must not be able to fit into Rafa’s system”.
Load of crap. Highest scoring player in England since he moved to Fulham in January. Do your mates work for Rafas scouting team?

Bone idol in training, unable to follow simple instructions, liability regarding cards, too idol to track back and defend.
When you’re working with a shoestring squad everybody needs to follow instructions, there’s no doubting Mitro was a better striker than Joselu but when you don’t do what’s asked of you why should you be starting.?

it’s not position, it’s only a few extra million that he dosnt get. and we are not good enough for top 6.

I think we have a decent squad, not great,

if he wins a cup, this season. that’s when il come on and say those tactics work.

but those tactics don’t work with our players in this league

he got away with it in the championship, because we were the equivalent of Man C, big fish little pond best player in that division.
when you are the little fish, you have to take more chances or you starve.

and let’s face it. 10th last season, you could have thrown a blanket and one bad result could of had us a lot lower down, it was a strange season

Just seen this on the mag from Stephen Warnock summing up our play last night

“Tonight they just didn’t look at the races at all, and I think that’s the style that Rafa set them up for tonight, because every time Newcastle got the ball they were just knocking it long.

“There’s no football, there’s no skill involved in that, it’s just route one football.”

That’s the style we’re set up for every week.

No doubt you will all think that Warnock is on Ashley’s pay roll rather than just having a level headed opinion about what he sees

The club is in a mess
A manager who does not want to be here unless he gets the money to run the football side of the club the way he wants to.
A manager who is stubborn and won’t walk so running down his contract.
A manager who in a round-about way tells the players that they are not good enough.
A manager who seems to fall out with players i.e. Mitro, MBemba, Colback and when he does ostracises them

A owner who does not give a stuff as long as he is making money without spending any.
A owner who will not sell unless the price is right.
A owner who does not care if the fans stay away still making plenty on TV deals.

Players starting to fight amongst each other.
Players who tonight did not give stuff went through the motions could not string passes together.

    What a mess
Where do we go from here?!?!

Ok, so what instructions is Joselu given? “Right son, go out there and fail to compete. Try and lose the ball on all occasions. Give their centre backs their easiest game of the season.

You’ve made my point for me. Watch him play for Fulham, he tracks back, he works hard for the team, he doesn’t get sent off and most importantly he finds the back of the net. He just needs a manager who trusts him as shown @ Fulham & international level.
This one is all on Rafa.

those in the if rafa goes we go, go to all the matches buy all the shirts and have sky to watch all the away matches.

Who is backing Ashley again ?

i keep asking people Like BWAP, why go if rafa goes, isn’t it like shutting the stable door AFTER the horse has bolted. no reply , cart before the horse.

what i do get back is , you expect us to win the league with those crap players. that rafa bought

You are on the wind up, plain and simple. Most people can see it. JfA is correct – you do only surface when a poor run gets going and you do disappear when any improvement comes. I do get a laugh out of you every now and and then though. For example @21 last night when you talked about Itor Karanka showing Rafa how to play attack minded football.
He is well known for negative, boring, defensive tactics! Surely you know that?

“griff posted this waffle last night:

“Some of us are apologists for Ashley but do not blame them. Stockholm Syndrome is a well known psychological phenomenon. Further, if you look at bullying behaviour, there are victims, bullies, and the bully-victims. These last bully types are in the middle, clearly bullied by the dominant types i.e. Ashley and perpetrating bullying on victims i.e. the long-suffering fans. Bully-victims are nasty when posting on this blog. But bully-victims suffer from increased risk of mental health concerns and suicidal thoughts. So they are best not to engage with, although even I bite now and then!”

I didn’t realise we had our very own Carl Jung on the blog. So Ashley is causing a trickle-down bully effect and it’s causing people on the blog to be mentally unstable and at risk of suicide?

I have heard it all now.”

Well AncientC, no Carl Jung here, but trickle-down bully effect sums it up nicely!

All the Rafa haters on here can you not see the one constant in the last 11 seasons of failure, relegations, abject misert etc? it’s Ashley yet the answer on here is always blame the manager, Catchy, Sutty your logic to sack rafa for an inferior manager like Carver, Mclaren etc will only lead to the relegation that happened with Mclaren, we won’t suddenly shoot up the league, nothing will ever change at the club until Ashley leaves

I was just about to write that I wonder how long will it take Fatboy to turn this around and blame it on Rafa ? But after reading some of the comments on here it looks like the doubters are already on the loose.
So this is for the doubters,
If you own a car and you need a clutch or gearbox replacement or something which isn’t an easy job. Would you take your car to a nice looking garage that has all the mod cons and fantastic selection of tools with a vast knowledge and knowhow with a fixed price ? OR Would you go to a garage with a mechanic of the same stature and knowledge as the previous garage then lurking in the office a greedy fat southern jessie with his pockets stuffed full of cash that appears and says OH that’ll be about the same price but there could be extra money involved and I only deal in cash . You then agree and in goes your car then the mechanic gets out his old box of tools with a hammer and a chisel to ward off them troublesome nuts that are tight, molegrips and a pair of pliers.
Would you walk away feeling happy ?
Now think again before slagging or moaning to a professional manager that hasn’t got the tools that he needs to perform the task that you want him to. He has been as discreet and professional as he possibly can to do this job or saving the team and the club as well as his own personal name and career only for GREEDY COCK-ney to keep all of the funds that he PROMISED AGAIN to give Rafa enabling himself to do the job in hand as well as promoting this FANTASTIC club to the heights that it should be enduring as well as giving us all nose bleeds from the place where we should be and then being able to buy a failing company CASH for a bit less that the total that should have been passed onto Rafa in the first place.
I hope that it’s a bit clearer and you feel like getting behind the team and manager or if not just don’t buy a ticket and hit the Fatboy in the pocket. Rafa doesn’t deserve a part timer telling him he has done his job that he specialising in wrong !
