Maybe Only This One Player – But Five Could Move Out On Loan Today

Newcastle may not see many players leave the club today – the last day of the transfer window for clubs in Europe.

Premier League clubs can still sell players and send them out on loan until today although the transfer window ended on August 9th in England.

The Chronicle is reporting that Rolando Aarons is the one that could leave on loan with Ligue 1 club Caen apparently interested.

But Rafa will only sanction loan moves for Jamie Sterry and Callum Roberts if they get significant playing time while on loan.

Rafa will keep the impressive Sean Longstaff at least through the end of the year.

Rolando Aarons – the one most likely to move out on loan today

And Freddie Woodman who has been included today in the England U21 squad may stay at Newcastle through the end of the year with no clubs having come in for him – which seems a surprise.

There seem to be some Scottish Premiership clubs interested in taking Woodman so that could still happen today.

But it seems there may not be too much action at Newcastle today in moving players out.

Moroccan International Achraf Lazaar is still at the club and may not link up with another club today after his proposed to Genoa broke down earlier this month.

That means we will be carrying Lazaar’s high wages while he is not even in the first team squad.

Why would ashley need an invite to come to the club he owns unless he and rafa are not on speaking terms.

Even if it is a PR ploy by Ashley, Rafa can easily counter it by actually extending an invitation to the ground then ensuring that it is covered by the local press when (if) he shows up.

It would actually play into Rafa’s hands, he could give Ashley a tour and point out exactly where improvements could be made and the difference they could make. Even give Ashley a chance to sit and have a coffee with some of the players.

Surely the displacement between the club hierarchy and the playing / coaching staff is not healthy, anything that can be done to change it has to be good for the club as a whole. It may even make Ashley feel more sympathetic towards us.

Mmmm interesting – I suppose Rafa could get the kettle on and Mr Tubbs could bring the cream cakes and the party hats.

And they all lived happily everafter.

Just a fan I said Cox’s team were excellent to watch in their promotion season, not a great team, so what they didn’t finish top? they still took us up after being in the 2nd division for 5 years.

So if only Rafa had instructed his quickly assembled Championship team to attack more then we’d have won the league more convincingly. Nothing at all with the owner going back on his word and not providing funds to strengthen while all our rivals did.
And if only he’d carried out catchy’s instructions and played Mitro and Mbemba we’d have finished eighth instead of tenth. Nothing at all with the quality five players the majority on the blog said were needed if we were to make a fist of it in the PL not being provided.
And before anyone starts with the 12M wasted on Murphy there is not a shred of evidence to point to that money getting spent on a striker if he hadn’t of been bought.

Should Alex ferguson have sacked his scouts after he bought Anderson, Djemba Djemba, Bosnich, Obertan, Kleberson, Taibi, Bellion? to say Rafa signings are mainly duds is ridiculous, those duds were part of a team winning the championship and then finished 10th in the premier league, every manager has bought naff players, even Bobby Robson and Keegan did for us

if he hasn’t been to the training ground in a while how does he know the facilities are “fit for purpose”?

I still can’t get my head around the fact we need an inferior manager to Rafa to get the best out of this squad, if Pardew came back there would be hell on but that is whats been asked for an inferior manager

Mister Tuff, I understand your skepticism, I share it.

BUT, if Ashley is here for the long term and Rafa intends to sign a new contract despite what we all dread, they need to sort out their relationship.

This could be a useful conciliatory first step for both.

Is it too late to send Kenedy back to Chelsea and get a refund? We could throw Atsu in for free and all…

Are you even members of the club? Not sure about Munster but catchy watches all his games on free streams.

TOF, why would we do that? Kenedy has been inconsistent so far this season, but when he’s good, he’s really good. Even Laurent Robert only performed 1 game out of 3 in terms of consistency. As for Atsu, fair enough, he isn’t the best, but he’s better than what we had prior to his arrival.

Oh dear it’s so obvious. Ashley is losing the pr battle so he issues snippets to the press haha what a load of crap. If I were Rafa I’d invite the tw@t to a training session, give him the job of marking Ritchie and then send him on a 5k run with Yedlin afterwards.

Moony, lol – reckon that would finish the guy off. Maybe not a bad thing…

Wasn’t he once a National-standard squash player? Reckon that must have been before several curries….

TOF, fair enough reasoning. Regardless though, he is the only game-changer in our squad right about now (Although Joselu is doing his best to debunk that!) so personally I think he’s still one of the first named on the team-sheet.

Ashley! A squash player? Well there’s been a few hundred curries since then I fear!
However, I live in hope that he sees the light, decides he wants the glory and backs the club properly; and with Rafa on board, boy could we go places!

Rob Leenio – whether Rafa signs an new contract/extention to his current one should have absolutely no bearing or impact whatsoever in the running of the football club,

His employment contract with the club is totally and absolutely his business and how he runs the football side of things – and the running of the club/investment/aspirations are the responsibility of Mr Tubbs and by default Junior Tubbs.
Tubbs owns the club not Rafa.

Mister Tuff, not sure what your point is.

I’m saying if they both intend to be here for a while, they need to mend their fractured relationship for the good of the long-term heath of the club. Rafa wants investment in certain areas, which Ashley seems unwilling for whatever reason to release. If Rafa can get him to see how this investment is a good thing for him and will provide medium-to-long term returns, that’s a positive.

Having a chat and a wander round Darsley Park sounds like a reasonable way to start things off.

The problem seems to be “Time & Money”
Rafa has the “Time” and the ability to deliver what we all want – A club that tries, can compete, avoids relegation battles and progresses, season upon season!!
Ashley, on the other hand, doesn’t have the time, but he does have control of the Money that NUFC generate through TV, Support, Player Sales etc.

Ashley has promised, on numerous occasions, that Rafa can have “Every penny that the Club generates” which has been proved to be nothing more than blowing smoke out of his backside. There hasn’t been a net spend of any substantial money in many years – either on Players or the Club, in general.
Ashley needs to understand that his actions simply breed contempt for himself and his ownership – and there is absolutely NO need for it.

He could have a Club, making Headlines, for all the right reasons, with very little effort to himself and at no further cost, to himself. Simply deliver what you have promised to deliver – it doesn’t even need to be “Every Penny” just a significant sum to enable a World Class Manager to deliver the potential the club has.
The biggest winner from that, would actually be Ashley, – The Squad would increase in Value, The Club would increas in Value.
Every aspect of the Football Club would improve, increase in value.

Mr Ashley will be too busy trying to make a silk purse out of what is currently the pig’s ear called House of Fraser to visit Tyneside anytime soon.

This huge distraction will seriously affect our attempts to bolster our squad in January despite comments on the lines that Rafa can have evry penny that the club generates. Yeah right!
